The Lefts’ Modern-Day Political Buffalo Hunters

I recently had a thought I wondered might be frivolous. But it stuck in my head and has possibly congealed into a fitting political metaphor. And, as with any metaphor, it may not be exact but bear with me as I wander down this path. Leftist cancel-culture bullies have become modern-day versions of the 19th Century buffalo hunters who indiscriminately shot bison and reducing herds of millions to piles of bones on the barren plains.

I was thinking about today’s cancel culture creeps who are aiming their version of a “Big Fifty” Sharps Rifle and “shooting” (canceling) conservatives as they graze on the great plains of free speech. For example, I read about how a buffalo hunter at a leftist Internet site, canceled a young conservative social media personality over supposed anti-Semitic jokes she’d made years earlier. Reportedly, she’d made them in private, to her Jewish boyfriend as part of an inside joke between them. The details didn’t matter; he canceled her.

Lefties have canceled other on the political right with little regard for any explanatory or even exculpatory circumstances. As for those who truly erred and have atoned, it doesn’t matter. Leftist buffalo hunters still attack, eviscerate, and cancel their political opponents. They allow for no redemption—for the Right. The Left doesn’t care what value a conservative writer or pundit (a bison) offers to anyone; they just want him or her canceled—take food off their families’ tables.

The 19th Century “buffalo hunters” decimated America’s great bison populations, shooting many of them, not while legitimately hunting but only for their hides or just for the hell of it. Just to kill. Just to cancel. Sometimes they didn’t even take the hides, wasting all the bison’s benefits to people interested in using them. The hunters, getting paid for taking only the hide, can be compared with the brief notoriety these leftist “hunters” take after they cancel or “kill” a conservative’s career.

Note: While buffalo hunters were paid for hides, even more à propos, according to the Legends of America website, the hunters also got paid if they cut out the bison’s tongue.

Nothing else mattered, not the waste, not the incalculable damage and harm it did to Indian people who relied on the bison to live and thrive. The only thing that mattered to the hunters was “the kill.” Some “hunters” even shot the bison from trains, not even taking the hide. Eventually, they would leave millions of bison dead or dying on the great plains, sustenance only for four-legged and winged scavengers. Nearly driving the American bison to extinction. Exactly what the Left has planned for the Right.

This is what leftist so-called journalists, social media, legacy media, and Democrats are doing to conservatives, libertarians, integrity media, and Republicans. Anyone on the political right who’s been guilty of being human and has made honest mistakes or has done wrong and is sorry is never forgiven. Even worse are those opponents whom the Left has lied about and fabricated “wrong-doing” specifically so they can “shoot them down on the plains,” cancel them.

These leftist media, political, and institutional “buffalo hunters” don’t care about the value of their political opponents. They don’t care about any mitigating circumstances, including that often the “offense” never happened or that a person who erred had sincerely apologized for their faux pas or misdeed. None of that matters. Trump supporters must be destroyed and left on the plain to rot into a pile of bones on the barren plain. Not only Trump supporters but anyone who doesn’t embrace the Left’s Marxist/oligarchic ideology in totality.

We know the Left is attempting to eradicate political opponents intentionally and is not on any crusade for the “truth.” They’ve been attempting, since 2015, to take down the ultimate buffalo: President Donald J. Trump. How do we know the leftist buffalo hunters are not being altruistic, aside from having commonsense? Because, as liberal Democrat and Harvard Professor Emeritus Alan “Dershowitz says, he’s convinced that the same people criticizing him [for defending President Trump] would be applauding him if he was prosecuting the [first] House impeachment case. The attacks, he said, have been ‘ferocious.’ He calls it a ‘shoe on the other foot test.’” In other words, they’re hypocrites adhering to their double-standards.

Remember when far-left, MSNBC buffalo hunter Joy Reid got away with posting homophobic slurs on social media. She initially apologized but soon denied the accusations and claimed someone had hacked her blog. Compare her treatment to the relentless, malicious personal attacks and threats of boycotts against Fox News’ top-rated opinion-news host Bill O’Reilly. The attacks finally resulted in Fox News canceling The O’Reilly Factor. Fortunately, while they’d left O’Reilly to die on the plain, they’d only wounded him. He’s recovered, healed, and now back roaming the free speech plains where he belongs, on his No Spin News at billoreilly.com.

Like Joy Reid who defied cancellation, the buffalo hunter and Chinese spy-lover Rep. Eric Swalwell (D CA) can get away with having a long-term, intimate relationship with a pretty communist secret agent yet remain on the U.S. House Intelligence Committee.

At the same time, House Democrat (and, disgustingly, some Republican) buffalo hunters just cancelled freshman Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green, stripping of her committee assignments. Her offense? Getting sucked into some far-right nonsense. But, apparently, Democrats approve of their members spewing far-left nonsense—all the time.

So, despite MTG apologizing for having said nothing worse than AOC and the Squad, Maxine Waters, or Hank Johnson have ever said: Making racist comments, wanting President Trump charged with “murder,” comparing Jewish settlers to “termites” and believing Guam may capsize if too many Marines are on one side of the island.

Yet, Democrats raise no concerns about those and other hypocrite buffalo hunters keeping their committee assignments. And I don’t recall any Republicans calling for those hypocrites and loons to be removed from their committees after saying stupid or mean things. Perhaps, it’s way past time for Trump-supporting conservatives, libertarians, and Republicans to stampede.
