Even while the Democrats might act as if they have all the control, they simply don’t. With the media’s help, most conservatives believe there is no one out there that is going to fight for them. But that isn’t true, just look at South Carolina. Recently, there has been a push to legalize the killing of unborn babies through abortion. As you can guess, there was a heated debate but at the end of the day – the bill passed, and abortions are one step closer to be outlawed.

As you can imagine, the media and the Democrats didn’t take too kindly to the news that abortions could become outlawed. It didn’t take long before the Dems started to throw a tantrum because they didn’t get their way. One lawmaker was even caught storming the building while tossing his Amendments in the air and at nearby Republicans. Luckily, House Speaker Jay Lucas wasn’t tolerating the nonsense and said, “If you want to engage in such childish behavior the sergeants will make sure you’re not here with us.”

But what does the new “South Carolina Fetal Heartbeat and Protection from Abortion Act” actually do? Under the new legislation, doctors will have to perform an ultrasound on any person wishing to have an abortion. If a heartbeat is detected, the procedure is automatically outlawed. There are some stipulations like if the mother’s life is in danger or the pregnancy is a product of incest or rape.

Even with the new stipulations, the Democrats continued to act out of order as the bill passed the House with a vote of 79 to 35. One lawmaker tweeted, “If we are truly concerned about life, we should care what happens to that life once it gets here. No one has a right to tell me or any other woman what he believes is best for their body. There ought to be something that I have providence over.”

And of course, what is a day in politics without the Democrats staging a walkout when their demands aren’t met. That is exactly what happened when the Dems realized they had lost. Democratic House Minority Leader Todd Rutherford told reporters, “We come here for one reason, and that reason is to do what’s best for the people of South Carolina. And that means that every day we come up here and we’re concerned to make sure that from the time of conception to the time of death South Carolinians are taken care of.”

While the bill still has a far way to go before it becomes law, it does give hope to conservative Americans that while the left may control Washington, they don’t control America.
