Meghan Markle has been tipped to “do an Arnold Schwarzenegger” and run for office in America, a Democratic strategist is predicting.

Democratic Party strategist Mike Trujillo told The Sun that Meghan and her husband Prince Harry’s Archewell Foundation could provide a “vehicle” for her to get involved in politics.

“Schwarzenegger had a big after-school foundation,” he said. “That’s what introduced him to politics.”

Trujillo also praised Meghan for meeting with California Governor Gavin Newsom last fall.

“She’s putting her toe in the water,” he said. “Then your foot is in, next you’re knee-deep, and then you are fully in.”

This comes after a source told Vanity Fair that Meghan would consider running for president.

“One of the reasons she was so keen not to give up her American citizenship was so she had the option to go into politics,” said a source close to Meghan and Harry. “I think if Meghan and Harry ever gave up their titles she would seriously consider running for president.”

Meghan and Harry took part in a video about the importance of voting last year as well.

“Every four years, we’re told the same thing, ‘This is the most important election of our lifetime.’ But this one is,” Meghan said. “When we vote, our values are put into action, and our voices are heard.”

“As we approach this November, it’s vital that we reject hate speech, misinformation, and online negativity,” Harry added.

In the wake of this, former President Donald Trump spoke out to slam Meghan publicly.

“I’m not a fan of hers… and she probably has heard that,” Trump said of Meghan. “I wish a lot of luck to Harry ’cause he’s gonna need it.”

This is not the first time that Trump publicly slammed Meghan. Entertainment Tonight reported that in 2019, he called her “nasty” after a 2016 video surfaced in which she described him as “divisive” and “misogynistic.”

“She was nasty to me, and that’s OK for her to be nasty,. It’s not good for me to be nasty to her and I wasn’t,” Trump said. “You know what? She’s doing a good job, I hope she enjoys her life… I think she’s very nice.”
