Since President Trump left office, the Democrats have relied heavily on the Capitol Hill riots to continue to push their anti-Republican narrative. At the forefront of the push is none other than AOC herself. Recalling the riots, AOC has spent the last couple of weeks remembering the horror of hearing the rioters come down her hall. At any moment, she was sure they were going to find her and harm her. That was her story, but now – accounts are coming to light showing AOC was never in harm’s way, to begin with.

Given that we are talking about politicians, it should come as no surprise that AOC would be exaggerating her memories of the events. Here are just a couple of statements AOC gave when talking about the riots.

“The weird thing about moments like these is that you lose all sense of time. In retrospect, maybe it was 4 seconds. Maybe it was 5 seconds, maybe it was 10 seconds. Maybe it was one second, I don’t know. It felt like my brain was able to have so many thoughts. In between the screams and the yells,” Ocasio-Cortez added, “I mean, I thought I was going to die.”

From the paragraph above, it appears that AOC may have some deep trauma from the events that left five dead. But Republican Nancy Mace from South Carolina says her office was just a short distance from AOC and the rioters never once made it close to where they were.

Taking her story to Twitter, Mace said, “AOC made clear she didn’t know who was at her door. Breathless attempts by media to fan fictitious news flames are dangerous. My office is 2 doors down. Insurrectionists never stormed our hallway. Egregious doesn’t even begin to cover it. Is there nothing MSM won’t politicize?

Even though AOC was caught lying about events of the riots, she is still a Democrat, so that means she will never admit when she is wrong. Instead, she double-downed on her comments and even attacked the GOP saying, “It is also very damning and revealing that the GOP is now digging both heels in a discrediting campaign. It’s because they know they are implicated, so they’re pivoting to (again) the classic abuse playbook of ‘it’s not as bad as they say.’ It was that bad. It’s actually worse.”

But was it really?
