With just a matter of hours left in President Donald Trump’s Presidency, he continues to work hard for America, signing executive orders and finally introducing the National Garden of American Heroes.

On Monday, President Trump declared the National Garden of American Heroes to be underway. The move for the garden comes after years of civil unrest and riots that have caused dozens of statues to be defaced due to political reasons. Since the killing of George Floyd in police custody, activists have poured into the streets, defacing statues and businesses as they supposedly lobby for justice and equality.

While America is often referred to as being the Best in the West, it doesn’t come without years of civil unrest. Since President Trump took office, the Democrats have let the radical left act however they seem it. This usually comes in the form of riots, looting, and defacing public property, along with tearing down statues ranging from George Washington, Christopher Columbus, and even a 9/11 memorial. To the left, it doesn’t matter what the statue represents, it’s all about attacking our historic pasts.

According to President Trump, the garden is a fitting resolution to the years of civil unrest that have left several statues defaced or worse – destroyed.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said, “Across this Nation, belief in the greatness and goodness of America has come under attack in recent months and years by a dangerous anti-American extremism that seeks to dismantle our country’s history, institutions, and very identity.”

“The heroes of 1776 have been desecrated, with statues of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin vandalized and toppled. The dead who gave their lives to end slavery and save the Union during the Civil War have been dishonored, with monuments to Abraham Lincoln, Hans Christian Heg, and the courageous 54th Regiment left damaged and disfigured. The brave warriors who saved freedom from Nazi fascism have been disgraced with a memorial to World War II veterans defaced with the hammer and sickle of Soviet communism.”

President Trump would go on to say the garden was the exact “answer to this reckless attempt to erase our heroes, values, and entire way of life. … When the forces of anti-Americanism have sought to burn, tear down, and destroy, patriots have built, rebuilt, and lifted up.”

Adding to the executive order, President Trump released a comprehensive list of some of the notable members who would receive a statue in the garden. The names included Astronauts: Neil Armstrong and John Glenn, Presidents: Grover Cleveland, Calvin Coolidge, Dwight David Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, and many more.
