Freshman Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) is just a few days into her first term, but she is already making waves with her plan to troll “Squad” member Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) with an Israeli flag.

Cammack took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce her plan to fly an Israeli flag right by Tlaib’s office.

“Rep. Tlaib, who has an office right next to mine in DC, has some strong opinions about Israel that [100%] I disagree with, so I’ve made a pledge to plant Israel’s flag outside my door right next to the American flag,” Cammack tweeted. “I think it’ll be very helpful as she walks past both every day.”

Tlaib fired back through a spokesperson who called Cammack’s plan a publicity stunt.

“Congressional members were elected to take on pressing issues impacting their constituents, not publicity stunts. Rep. Tlaib is focused on solving issues and showing up for her constituents. One can only hope that Rep. Cammack will do the same,” Tlaib’s spokesman said to The Times of Israel.

Tlaib has found herself in hot water in the past for comments that she has made about Israel. She has controversially supported the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel, and last year, House Republicans criticized her for describing the “calm feeling” she experienced when thinking about the Holocaust, according to Fox News.

Cammack was met with her fair share of backlash online for her tweet about Tlaib and the Israeli flag.

“Oooh, good one! Maybe next you can look into planting Apartheid-era South African flags near your Black colleagues’ offices. Or maybe just some Jim Crow-era signage at the water coolers?” tweeted Palestinian-American political scientist Omar Baddar.

Others, however, supported Cammack in her endeavor.

“Thank you for your support to #Israel Congresswoman Kat Cammack!” the Israeli consulate in Miami posted on its official Twitter account.

Tlaib has long been a member of the radically progressive “Squad” that is led by Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN).
