China, as this publication has noted for some time, thinks Joe Biden is weak. They can read his geopolitical naïveté and cowardice. They send their air force to challenge Taiwan and they get words. They move on American ally India, more words. What do they know that we don’t? Why do they seem to be secure in the knowledge that Biden won’t respond? Given the amount of business the Biden family syndicate did with the Chinese Communist Party, one can only ponder those questions with extreme worry. For the bigger question is: Is the president of the United States truly a Manchurian Candidate?

FNC: “China on Thursday intensified its rhetoric directed towards Taiwan and said its independence would result in war. Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Qian said the ‘military activities’ in the Taiwan Straits ‘are necessary actions to address the current security situation’ there and then he warned, ‘Those who play with fire will burn themselves’, and ‘Taiwan independence’ means war.’ Wu was holding his monthly press conference when the subject turned to regional tensions. Taipei accused Beijing of flying a dozen military jets in its airspace on Sunday in an act of intimidation. U.S. observers said China was intent on testing President Joe Biden, who had been sworn in just days before. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a confirmation hearing Tuesday there is ‘no doubt’ China poses the greatest threat of any nation to the U.S.  and the Trump administration was right to take a tougher stance against the Asian power.”

“President Trump was right in taking a tougher approach to China,” said Blinken, who served as veep Biden’s national security advisor before being promoted to deputy secretary of state under Obama. “Not the way he went about it in a number of ways, but the basic principle was right.” Noted China analyst Gordon Chang sees this as a dangerous time.

Chang: “I think what they’re trying to do is find out how tough Biden is. These aerial exercises in Taiwan Saturday and Sunday are interpreted in the region as a challenge to Biden. Many people in the U.S. are saying the same thing.  China challenges new U.S. Presidents. They did that with George Bush and Barack Obama with military provocations that were dangerous. They didn’t do it with Donald Trump, because I think they were afraid of him. We know from comments from members of the Chinese elite that they’re not afraid of Biden. This is a very dangerous time because you have leaders in China that are arrogant and they think they can push us around. Within the week, China has basically [launched] a new invasion of India-controlled territory; in Sikkim. So China is pushing out around its borders all over its place. This is really one of those points that could be consequential because Beijing is seeing who will push back.” Apparently, not Joe Biden.
