Where do you start with this thing? Perhaps at the most ironic part. By his actions, Donald Trump has brought a majority of the nation together in renouncing and loathing him.

No, not the entire nation. There are still those of the rump right bitter ender faction who support the man. I’d say they are about 35 percent of the Republican Party and will be a force to deal with and crush in the party.

But sane Americans of all parties, Americans who don’t have blood on their hands and who reject mob violence, have had enough of this guy. When strict constitutionalists like Ben Sasse are in virtual agreement with Nancy Pelosi, when Chuck Schumer and Dan Crenshaw concur, when Tom Cotton and AOC see eye to eye here, you know there is a national consensus and it is against the current individual who serves as chief executive.

Why has this happened? The facts speak for themselves. Four years ago the Republican Party had the House, Senate, and the White House. After four years of Trump we’ve lost all three. Those of us, including me, who said we were only interested in results and didn’t care about the president’s personality should ponder that.

But his real issues began right after election day. The con job on his own supporters, telling them he would overcome the tally and remain president anyway was maybe the worst purely political thing he did. Hyperbole like that, which used to be only annoying, was now absurd and dangerous, as it threatened the peaceful transition of power.

However, his worst move was the Wednesday speech and its aftermath, which he directly brought on. His ego blazing, his fuhrer complex alight, his vicious petulance unbound, he sent the worst faction of his supporters on a mission of blood and mayhem.

Now, we are publicly castigated on human rights issues by the despotic likes of Iran and Turkey. Our allies can’t believe this has happened to us. The leftist press and the Democrats, by Trump’s actions, have been given a political high ground which they will use to America’s distress, and impeachment is back in season, along with the 25th Amendment and resignation. All these things directly and exclusively attributable to Donald Trump. Such is the aftermath, such is his current legacy.

Who do you think would win the Presidency?
