San Francisco Mayor Hypocrite On Virus Regulations

One rule for her. Another for her constituents.

Hypocrisy from Democrat politicians is nothing new. It would be actually strange if they ever practiced what they preached. But like Democrat hard left California Governor Gavin Newsom before her, San Francisco Mayor London Breed has taken it to a new level, recalling the George Orwell line from “Animal Farm” that “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”

FNC: “San Francisco residents should brace more severe coronavirus restrictions’, Mayor London Breed said Tuesday. The warning coincided with reports that Breed had dined at the upscale French Laundry restaurant in Napa County last month, according to reports. Breed said rising COVID-19 cases in recent weeks could lead to stricter restrictions in San Francisco on gatherings, reduced capacity in public areas, and mandatory quarantines after traveling, FOX 2 of the Bay Area reported. The warning by Breed came after she joined seven others at the Napa Valley restaurant on Nov. 7 to celebrate the 60th birthday of socialite Gorretti Lo Lui, a spokesman for the mayor told the San Francisco Chronicle. Their dining area was in a partially enclosed room with a ceiling and chandelier – just like Gov. Gavin Newsom’s widely criticized birthday dinner at the restaurant a day earlier, reports said.”

“We’ve been worried for months, but now it’s real,” Breed said. “The truth is we’re going to have to take more restrictive action and it pains me to say that.” Ah yes, must have been the severe pain of dining at a posh eatery with her socialite pals, then getting caught doing it, that really incapacitates the mayor.

And Breed and Newsom aren’t the only California examples of Democrats ignoring their own regulations. Some rules are waived for them, but not for the peasants they think they rule over.

Last week, Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl visited a restaurant in Santa Monica hours after she voted to ban outdoor dining at restaurants. San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo visited his elderly parents’ home for Thanksgiving, disregarding Santa Clara County’s COVID-19 holiday travel warnings. Lovely people.

It’s as if they know the whole covid regulation regimen is a scam to gather power and not a real public health threat. After all, would these kinds of people put themselves at mortal risk for anything? Unlikely. Thus they had to know that there was actually no risk in their actions.

Biden said Thursday he wants Americans to wear masks until more than three months after his inauguration. The charade will go on until in the spring, after perhaps a final national lockdown, the press and the Biden administration declare victory over covid, trumpeting an achievement they will say the Trump administration couldn’t accomplish. They may say it. They may even believe it. But then as now, Americans will know it’s a lie.
