New York’s Governor-Emperor, Andrew M. Cuomo, has acted every bit the petty dictator he pretends not to be and is accusing others of being. He is an unopened gift to late-night talk and comedy sketch shows, which, shamefully, allow all that comedic fodder to evaporate. He even showed off his own comedic skills when he wrote a book celebrating his violations of the U.S. Constitution and the destruction of New York’s economy.

Instead, the entertainment industry would rather bestow upon the New York emperor a fake Emmy Award for his daily doses of socialist-Democrat dung. I must confess. Before this, I did not know a political leader could even get an Emmy for keeping healthy kids out of school and for a nursing home disaster where so many elderly folks died.

When the Gov-Emp is not accepting awards for speaking his double-tongued nonsense, or for writing books lauding himself, he’s busy decrying NY sheriffs. He dislikes that these top cops are playing the roles of Sons of Liberty to his despotic King George III. And, like any good socialist-Democrat, he set right to accusing the sheriffs of doing precisely what he is doing.

According to a report in Townhall, about NY sheriffs refusing to enforce his “Thanksgiving edicts,” which banned gatherings of 10 or more people in a private home, Cuomo said, “Because you don’t have the right to pick laws that you think you will enforce and you don’t enforce laws you don’t agree with, right? That’s not a law enforcement officer, that’s a dictator.” If he wants to see a dictator, he need only look in a mirror.

As written at Trending Politics, “Like other tyrannical Democrats, Cuomo has used the coronavirus outbreak to seize extraconstitutional powers under the pretense of a public health emergency and has wielded them with the ruthlessness of Saddam Hussein.” Is there a more self-unaware politician in America today?

Not able to conscript the sheriffs to enforce his turkey day tyranny, the Gov-Emp blasted county lawmen and women. Cuomo said, “I don’t believe as a law enforcement officer, you have a right to pick and choose what laws you will enforce.” You’ll notice he elevates his executive orders (political edicts) to the level of legislated law. He should remember that cops have no obligation to enforce unlawful orders.

Cuomo mocked the sheriffs, saying, “Well, I don’t believe in that law and therefore I won’t enforce it. That is frankly frightening to me as an individual, frightening to democracy. It’s arrogant, and it violates your constitutional duties.”

This is coming from the guy who, along with other blue (and even a few red) state governors and mayors, has raised violating the Constitution to an art form. “Constitutional duties” are just that, duties to uphold the constitution, not to uphold diktats from some thin-skinned, bully politician.

Again, is he even there in the room with himself when he says this stuff? Is he actually accusing others of endangering democracy, violating the Constitution, and even more hilariously, of being arrogant?

Sheriff Richard Giardino of Fulton County pushed back, last week. The former judge and district attorney questioned the constitutionality of the Gov’s order. The sheriff posted on Facebook that the “Sheriff’s Office will NOT be enforcing it [the Thanksgiving Executive Order] against our County residents.” He cited the “your house is your castle” doctrine and noted a lack of resources to enforce such a broad and invasive measure.

Sheriff Giardino added, “as a Sheriff with a law degree I couldn’t in good faith attempt to defend [the order] in court, so I won’t.” He says he trusts people to make their own decisions. How refreshing is that? And he’s not alone.

Trending Politics further reported, “Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo also gave Cuomo the bird” when he said, “I can’t see how devoting our resources to counting cars in citizens’ driveways or investigating how much turkey and dressing they’ve purchased is for the public good.” With all the shenanigans Democrats are pulling in America, these days, these law enforcement leaders are worth their weight in gold, folks.

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard stated, “My office will respect the sanctity of your home and traditions, and I encourage you to follow your heart and act responsibly, as well as do what’s best for your family. On behalf of everyone at the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, I want to wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving.”

And, Syracuse.com reported, “The New York State Sheriff’s Association has issued a statement blasting Gov. Andrew Cuomo over [the] executive order…” In response to these patriot sheriffs, Gov-Emp Cuomo waxed ridiculous. He compared cops responding to break up Thanksgiving dinner to responding to a domestic violence assault. The Gov. scoffed at the sheriffs, saying, “Well, I’m not going to enforce domestic violence laws because that’s a family affair.” Is it possible for a human being not to be able to hear a word he’s saying?

Democrat governors absolutely hate it when their cops choose the Constitution over their exploiting a health “emergency” to issue tyrannical edicts. Governor-Empress Kate Brown of Oregon thinks much like her New York counterpart. She compared neighbors calling the cops on a family for violating her Thanksgiving Day dinner decrees to calling 911 about a neighborhood noise complaint. The contortions and conflations necessary to arrive at the Left’s warped conclusions stagger the coherent mind.

Even the worst mayor in America, Bill de Blasio, had to admit there are not enough resources to enforce such an edict, so he deflected. As the New York Post reported, “the Mayor said busting up bigger pow-wows and gatherings fall under the purview of the NYC Sheriff’s Office, staffed at 150 members.” Hmm, New York City has eight million people, right?

And, to cap things off in the Empire state, the Gov-Emp ain’t so happy with cops on the NYPD either. Why? Because, like the sheriffs refusing to enforce the Thanksgiving mandates, many cops are refusing to enforce Emperor Cuomo’s corrupt mask mandates.

In fact, the cops are even taking it a step further. In another story covered by the Post, Cuomo is also displeased because many cops don’t wear masks themselves. The Gov-Emp said, “A lot of police officers don’t wear a mask… well, how are you then supposed to enforce other people wearing a mask when they see you not wearing a mask?”

Why aren’t some officers wearing masks? I’ll take a guess. Probably because, somehow, someway they’ve managed to defeat the legacy and social media censorship gauntlets, eventually making their way to the truth about masks.

The thing is, the Left pretends every problem can be fixed and claims, with enough political power, they can fix anything. The Right knows not everything can be fixed and understand the claim that it can be is a lie. FOX News’ John Stossel points out,  luminary playwright David Mamet, a conservative convert from liberalism, cited F.A. Hayek, when making this point.

From Hayek’s last book, The Fatal Conceit, Mamet wrote, “What Hayek is talking about is that we have to have a constrained vision of the universe. The unconstrained vision, the liberal vision, is that everything can be done, everything is accomplishable. We don’t have the knowledge. … There is only so much that government can do. … It would be nice if giving all of our money to the government could cure poverty [or whatever]. Maybe, but giving money to the government causes slavery.”

It’s true; the more the government exists, the less you exist. This is something Governor-Emperor Cuomo might realize if he stopped for half a second and actually listened to what he is saying. But he won’t. He must do his part for the Great Reset.
