On Tuesday, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey admitted that Twitter censoring a controversial story Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, right before the election was “wrong.”

Dorsey testified on Capitol Hill over his company’s censorship of the original New York Post story about Hunter Biden’s questionable business dealings abroad.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey: ‘We Admitted This Action Was Wrong’

Dorsey said on Tuesday during his testimony, “We were called here today because of an enforcement decision we made against the New York Post based on a policy we created in 2018 to prevent Twitter from being used to spread hacked materials.”

“This resulted in us blocking people from sharing a New York Post article publicly or privately,” Dorsey said.

Dorsey then basically admitted that his company acted too quickly in their judgement of the story’s validity and said that they made the wrong decision.

“We made a quick interpretation using no other evidence that the materials in the article were obtained through hacking, and according to our policy, we blocked them from being spread,” Dorsey said.

“Upon further consideration, we admitted this action was wrong and corrected it within 24 hours,” Twitter’s “Jack” admitted.

The New York Post’s Twitter Account Remained Locked For Weeks

After the New York Post reported on Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings, based off communications pulled from Biden’s alleged laptop, Twitter locked the news outlet’s Twitter account on Oct. 14.

Any story or sharing related to the New York Post story was flagged as “hacked materials,” despite no evidence being presented that the emails the news outlets reported on were obtained through hacking.

Twitter not only censored the story but locked other accounts that shared the story and prevented users from sharing it.

Still, the New York Post’s Twitter account remained suspended for weeks.

Admission Comes Weeks After Election

Dorsey said, “We informed the New York Post of our error and policy update, and how to unlock their account by deleting the original, violating tweet, which freed them to tweet the exact same content and news article again.”

“They chose not to, instead insisting we reverse our enforcement action,” he added.

“We did not have a practice around retroactively overturning prior enforcements,” Dorsey noted.

“This incident demonstrated that we needed one, and so we created one we believe is fair and appropriate.”

Twitter’s blackout of the Hunter Biden story drew more attention to it, despite most mainstream media outlets also refusing to cover the story.

The Daily Beast reports that Biden’s campaign was actively tracking talk about the Hunter Biden story.

The campaign even said that the story got more traction on social media than Hillary Clinton’s email scandal did in 2016.

The major difference between the two?

The liberal media refused to cover it.
