Social media was buzzing after a post by vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris appeared to promote tenets of communism just two days prior to the election.

Harris posted a video on Sunday which downplayed the concept of equality and promoted the concept of equity.

“Equality suggests, ‘oh, everyone should get the same amount,'” Harris says as she narrates the animated clip.

“The problem with that – not everybody’s starting out from the same place,” she continues. “It’s about giving people the resources and support they need so that everyone can be on equal footing, and then compete on equal footing.”

Harris concludes with a statement that left the online community perplexed.

“Equitable treatment means we all end up at the same place,” she ended.

Is Kamala Harris Promoting Communism?

Numerous followers on social media recognized that Harris’ video about everybody ending up in the same place sounds an awful lot like communism.

“So she’s openly making the argument that inequality of outcome is in and of itself inequity. Which is called communism,” Daily Wire editor Ben Shapiro wrote.

Columnist Andrew T. Walker called the video “probably the stupidest and most ideologically revealing thing you could tweet prior to an election.”

He added, “But I can at least appreciate the transparency of their radicality.”

Journalist Josh Jordan claimed the video was practically an advertisement for the Trump campaign.

“Two days before the election, Kamala Harris tweets a video that endorses everyone ending up at the same place (equality of outcome), which is the goal of communism,” Jordan wrote.

“Donald Trump couldn’t have written a better video for Harris to tweet out to moderates with under 48 hours to go.”

Former New Yorker columnist Andrew Sullivan took aim at Harris.

“Why would a vice-presidential candidate seemingly endorse full-on Marxism days before a general election?” an exasperated Sullivan tweeted.

“Does she believe government should enforce equality of outcome for everyone? Seriously?”

Biden Has Tried to Distance Himself From Socialism

It’d be interesting to know if anybody at the Biden campaign approved Harris posting this video ahead of time or if she simply went rogue.

At a campaign stop in Pittsburgh in August, Biden sought to combat the narrative that he would simply be a puppet for far-left Marxist zealots in his own party.

“Do I look like a radical socialist with a soft spot for rioters?” he asked. “Really?”

The Trump campaign has repeatedly claimed Biden is merely a placeholder for the presidency until Kamala and her radical platforms can be elevated to the office.

Following her debate with Vice President Mike Pence, President Trump accused her of lying repeatedly and suggested she was a “monster.”

He went on to call her “horrible,” and “totally unlikeable,” as well as a “communist.”

Harris supports late-term abortions, voting against bills to protect the lives of babies that survive the procedure and to ban abortion after 20 weeks.

She supports reparations for slavery, something a poll conducted in 2016 showed is opposed by nearly seven in 10 Americans.

Government watchdog website GovTrack.us ranked Harris as the most liberal senator, even further to the left than Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

This video reinforces the fears of moderate voters who may be wary of having somebody so extreme in the White House.
