New reports are coming in stating that former Vice President Joe Biden, who various media outlets have declared to be the president-elect, slipped and twisted his ankle on Saturday.
MSNBC reporter Kyle Griffin broke the news that Biden needed to see a doctor after twisting his ankle, allegedly while playing with his dog major on Saturday morning, according to The Sun.
“On Saturday Nov. 28, President-elect Biden slipped while playing with his dog Major, and twisted his ankle,” the tweet read,” Griffin tweeted. “Out of an abundance of caution, he will be examined this afternoon by an orthopedist.”

The Delaware Humane society has said that Biden and his wife Jill first got to know Major while fostering him, and they adopted the dog just a few months before Biden announced his presidential run. Should Biden take office in January, Major will be the first rescue dog to ever live in the White House.
The Bidens also own 12 year-old German shepherd called Champ, who they bought back in 2008. Jill had reportedly promised Biden at the time that they would get a puppy after Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign, and they got Champ shortly thereafter.
The Bidens have said that they will bring both their dogs with them to the White House, and they plan to get a cat as well once they move in.
“Well, I’d love to get a cat. I love having animals around the house,” Jill recently said.
USA Today reported that Biden arrived at the Delaware Orthopedic Specialists in Newark just after 4pm on Sunday, and he remains there at this time.
At 78 years of age, Biden would be the oldest president to actually be inaugurated for the first time if he takes office in January. Concerns have been raised about his health throughout this campaign, and this ankle sprain will certainly do nothing to ease fears about how physically fragile Biden may or not be at his advanced age.
