Republicans can now boast of having the youngest member of Congress following the victory of Madison Cawthorn in North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District Tuesday night.
Cawthorn, at the age of 25, defeated Democrat Moe Davis, a retired Air Force Colonel who served as a prosecutor at Guantanamo Bay.
The young Republican beat Davis by a 12-point margin.
The Constitution lays out the age of 25 as a minimum for those seeking a seat in the House of Representatives.

Madison Cawthorn, Youngest Member of Congress, Owns the Libs
Cawthorn is almost a full four years younger than the next youngest member of Congress – 29-year-old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
It didn’t take long for Cawthorn to show some of that youthful exuberance and perhaps a hint of immaturity when he celebrated his victory with a simple three-word tweet.
“Cry more, lib,” he wrote.
Cry more, lib.

Cawthorn claimed to have infuriated liberals in October as well when he alleged that his home had been vandalized.
“These little punks on my driveway, you know, they were gluing some of my signs to the driveway, they were spray painting pretty not so subtle threats on to them and then they were cutting the head and neck out of out my signs all over the district,” Cawthorn told “Fox & Friends.”
Davis, his opponent, garnered attention for a 2019 tweet encouraging violence against Republicans.
“Screw they go low, we go high bulls***,” he wrote, calling on supporters to attack Republicans and “stomp their scrawny pasty necks with our heels.”
Screw they go low, we go high bullsh*t. When @NCGOP extremists go low, we stomp their scrawny pasty necks with our heels and once you hear the sound of a crisp snap you grind your heel hard and twist it slowly side to side for good measure. He needs to know who whupped his ass.

‘Total Star’ Rising For the American Flag
Cawthorn rose to prominence, both literally and figuratively, at this summer’s Republican National Convention where he delivered an inspirational speech.
The young Republican candidate stood for the American flag as anti-flag protesters were dominating headlines at the time.
What made that remarkable is the fact that Cawthorn stood from his wheelchair to do so, having been injured in a car accident at the age of 18, an accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down.

“You can kneel before God but stand for our flag,” Cawthorn proclaimed.
“Be a radical for liberty and be a radical for our republic for which I stand,” he continued. “One nation under God, with liberty and justice for all.”
The moment captured the attention of President Trump as well as his son, Eric, who tweeted that Cawthorn is a “total star.”
Now he’s the youngest ‘total star’ in Congress.
