Remembering the recently departed Sean Connery, we recall one of his best roles was as the old Irish cop Malone in “The Untouchables.”

The film was based on Eliot Ness and his team of U.S. Treasury Department Prohibition agents who fought a law enforcement crusade against Chicago crime boss Al Capone in the 1920s and 1930s. Well, in many places in this country we have the same type of political corruption we had in Chicago in the 1920s, a corruption sponsored by Capone in furtherance of his criminal activities. Today it is the national, state, and local Democrats who are the sponsors of modern day election corruption like ballot harvesting, which is the way Democrats are trying to win this presidential election and also many down ballot races.

Wouldn’t it be excellent to have an Untouchables force go after Democrat ballot harvesting?

 

LifeZette asked Pennsylvania Democrat former political operative Lisa Pendleton about this plague. As a conservative Democrat, she also is disgusted by the crimes of her own national party, “Politics is corrupt. It always has been. However, there is one area of politics that is held out as sacrosanct and that is the voting process.

Across the world, people of almost every nation exercise their collective voice by voting in elections. Many risk death and even retribution to carry out their right to vote. Unfortunately, the one nation where that right is being compromised is the one nation where that should never be happening.

Every election cycle, accusations of voter fraud, stolen elections and threats of violence against voters happen in the US. It’s time we stopped this. The purity of the election process should never be compromised because in the land of freedom, cheaters should never be able to win. No matter who you support, trustworthiness in the election process is one area that should be held up to strict guidelines and standards that should serve as examples all over the world. If and unless citizens ban together against deceitful voting practices and eliminate opportunities for fraud, the US election process,  which is the only remaining voice citizens have in government, will remain corrupt forever.

The voting process and the way votes are received, cast, and tallied is not regulated heavily enough. Take mail in votes, for example. What is to stop families, neighbors, or so-called friends from taking the ballot from a vulnerable or elderly person and casting their vote for them? This Presidential election is the exact time when thoughtful and meaningful changes to the election process should happen. Never before have there been more accusations of fraud and corruption than there has been now. A nationwide recount needs to happen. As a result, weaknesses in the system will be revealed and can be corrected. No matter what your political affiliation is or who you support, every citizen needs to demand that this take place or we risk losing the primary way we have left in the country to express our freedom.”

Pendleton is right. Now is the time. When Democrats have been caught classic red handed, now is the time. Plus, wouldn’t it be great to see a Sean Connery-like DOJ Election Fraud agent put a shotgun under some soyboy’s chin and say, “Now lad, where are the real ballots?”
