Barack Obama joked that “we can always send the Navy SEALs” in to forcefully remove President Trump from the White House.
The former President made the comment during an appearance on ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel’s show, where he promoted his new memoir A Promised Land.
During one segment of the interview, Kimmel discusses the election and hints that Trump may need to be removed from the White House.
“You know the White House well, you lived there for eight years. Are there places someone could, uh, hide?” he asked.
“Like, if say they want, they were going to be removed?” Kimmel continued. “Are there little cubby holes or anything we should know about?”
Obama replied: “Well, I think we can always send the Navy SEALS in there to dig him out.”
Obama’s Joke About Using the Navy SEALs to Remove Trump Is Disrespectful
We’re not going to lose our minds over a joke made on a late-night pseudo-comedy program.
That said, can you imagine the outrage if President Trump said this about Barack Obama back in 2016?
Or even former President George W. Bush?
That’s actually really difficult to imagine since Bush had what Obama seems to lack – enough class to refrain from interjecting and insulting his successor while they were still representing the American people.

While Obama May Have Been Joking, Other Democrats Have Not
While Obama may have been joking, several Democrats were not when they suggested President Trump may have to be forcefully removed from the White House.
This past summer, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) claimed the President’s use of federal law enforcement in response to violence in Portland was a “trial run” for when he refuses to accept his election loss.

Andrew Bates, a spokesman for Joe Biden’s campaign, quite recently made a threat to remove Trump from office by force.
“As we said on July 19th, the American people will decide this election,” Bates said in a statement.
“And the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House.”
If Trump loses & does not concede, Biden aide says “the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House.”

Biden himself has alleged that the military may need to step in and forcibly remove Trump from office.
“I promise, I am absolutely convinced they [the military] will escort him from the White House with great dispatch,” Biden told Comedy Central.
Joe Biden says that his greatest concern that is that President Trump is going to try to “steal this election” and the military will have to escort him from the White House.

Former National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster swiftly dismissed any suggestion that the military will “remove” President Trump from the White House.
“If the president were to lose the election on November 3rd and if he were to refuse to concede,” Blitzer began. “What role would the U.S. military have to play in that type of scenario?”
The Lt. Gen. replied, “Absolutely no role, Wolf.”
McMaster even seemed to chuckle at the prospect.
