Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (R-NY) launched an attack on the GOP on Tuesday, claiming that Republicans are “complicit” in President Donald Trump’s alleged attempts to undermine the election.

Ocasio-Cortez tweeted this in response to a Politico article that claimed that Republicans are privately horrified at Trump’s election antics as he continues to try and fight voter fraud. This article was shared by MSNBC anchor Katy Tur, who added, “Republicans publicly silent, privately disgusted by Trump’s election threats.”

It was this tweet that Ocasio-Cortez responded to by correcting Tur, saying that Republicans are actually “publicly complicit.”

This comes one day after Ocasio-Cortez defiantly said that regardless of what happens in this election, progressives have won the “generational moment.” She said this during a conversation with Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in which she expressed her excitement about the future of American politics.

“I’m absolutely thrilled that this movement is not only succeeding, but that it’s growing,” Ocasio-Cortez said, going on to name eight progressive candidates running in November’s election.

After giving a shoutout to her “Squad,” the New York congresswoman added, “We’re winning! We’re doing this thing, and as crazy as it looks at this present moment can feel and as much work as we have to do – I’m already tired for all the work we have to do no matter what the outcome is.”

“The fact of the matter is that the momentum is on our side, and that we’re winning, and that we’ve won the generational argument, and that millennials are radicalized,” Ocasio-Cortez explained. “Gen Z is out here with class consciousness, and really I truly believe that we are winning this and I am so incredibly excited.”

Ocasio-Cortez also took to Twitter on Monday to mock a caravan of Trump supporters in New York as a “pileup of chumps,” showing just how much disdain she has for anyone who dares to support the president.

It remains to be seen whether Ocasio-Cortez’s strategy of shaming and belittling millions of conservative Americans will pay off for her party in the end.
