Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) spoke out over the weekend to obliterate CBS News for what he described as the “most complete indictment of media bias ever.”

Cruz called out CBS News for the way it handled an interview with Tara Reade, the woman who has accused Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden of sexual assault. This past weekend, “60 Minutes” conducted an interview with Reade, yet CBS News inexplicably decided not to air this interview in the United States. Though we are just weeks away from the election, CBS News aired the interview only in Australia.

The Texas senator took to Twitter to say that this is evidence that CBS News is “covering up” for Democrats.

“This is the most complete indictment of media bias ever,” Cruz said. “Why does CBS think voters in…Australia need to know about these serious charges against Biden, but not voters in…America (where he’s actually on the ballot)? ONLY explanation is that @CBSNews is covering up for Dems.”

“Please, @CBSNews respond. Either tell us (1) why YOU decided this is news in Australia, but not the USA, or (2) why you have abandoned any pretense at impartiality or journalistic integrity?” he went on to add. “We’ll wait.”

During the “60 Minutes” interview, Reade became emotional as she graphically described what she claims Biden did to her. She also explained why she waited to come forward until it became clear that Biden was going to get the Democratic presidential nomination.

“I decided that people needed to know,” Reade said. “He’s going to the highest office in the land. I know what he’s like. I know what his character is like — and he doesn’t deserve the presidency based on what happened to me.”

“He’s been misogynistic, he’s had sexual assault allegations, sexual harassment,” she added. “He’s a blue Trump, he’s a blue Trump.”

CBS News offered no explanation for why it decided to have the Australian version of “60 Minutes” interview Reade. However, it was acknowledged during the show that Reade’s claims have gotten very little coverage in the United States.
