Praising her husband President Donald Trump’s first term record, on Tuesday First Lady Melania Trump said that the “American spirit is stronger than the virus.”

“Since earlier this year, our country has felt the effects of a global pandemic,” Mrs. Trump said.

“Like many of you, I have experienced the first-hand effects of COVID-19, not only as a patient but as a worried mother and a worried wife.”

Melania Trump: ‘We All Know The American Spirit Is Stronger Than This Virus’

The First Lady said she understood how much personal loss many have suffered.

“I know there are many people who have lost loved ones or know people who have been forever impacted by this silent enemy,” Trump continued.

“My family’s thoughts and prayers are with all of you through this difficult time.”

The First Lady has first hand knowledge of the virus, having tested positive herself for COVID-19 in October.

Her husband President Donald Trump had it. Her son Barron had it.

Members of their administration staff and their families had it.

When they finally tested negative, President Trump emerged looking stronger than ever.

Similarly, Melania Trump said on Tuesday that COVID-19 and the pandemic it has cause was no match for the “American spirit.”

“We have proven that we can and will overcome this unexpected challenge.”

In the last week of campaigning before the election, both presidential camps are bringing out the big guns.

Barack Obama is scheduled to stump for 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden throughout the week.

Melania Trump Hits The Campaign Trail

The Trump campaign hopes Mrs. Trump can help inspire voters to come out for Republicans on November 3rd.

Trump 2020 senior adviser for strategic communications, Mercedes Schlapp, told Fox News, “We are excited to have first lady Melania Trump on the campaign trail in Pennsylvania to connect with voters in the Keystone State and share President Trump’s Make America Great Again agenda.”

Mrs. Trump also touted her husband’s ability to take his message straight to the people.

“For the first time in history, the citizens of this country get to hear directly and instantly from their president every single day through social media,” she said.

Donald Trump has been a unique president in this respect. How much that uniqueness will earn him support at the ballot box will be revealed in mere days.
