Kamala Harris has taken over the Democratic spotlight as Joe Biden continues to fumble words and cough without a mask. The president has even commented on Harris as being the forerunner for the Democrat’s “Court Packing” Scheme. But what people aren’t talking about is the illegal alien MS-13 gang member who avoided the death penalty after killing a father and his two sons thanks to who – Kamala Harris.
Before Harris was a household name, she was the district attorney for San Francisco. While serving the state, the high-profile case of the Bologna Family murder came to her attention. For those who do know, here is a refresher. Back in June of 2008, Anthony Bologna was driving from a barbeque with his three sons aged 16, 18, and 20. While driving, an MS-13 gang member named Edwin Ramos mistook the family for a rival gang and opened fire on the vehicle.
What followed was a sad series of events as Ramos was also charged with several other crimes before the murders. In the end, Ramos would face three counts of murder against the Bologna family.
When the news broke, the family’s mother, Danielle Bologna, pleaded with Harris to pursue the death penalty. At the time, Harris was against any notion, but many believed she might change her stance due to the situation. Bologna said, “Seeking the death penalty, this will make a statement so people won’t just kill families for no reason. They have the power to stop this. They have to stop with the excuses — this is not her family, this is my family.”
It would be over a year after Danielle’s rousing speech that Harris would make the ultimate decision not to seek the death penalty against Ramos. The news struck the bologna family hard as they believe justice was not dealt. Instead, Ramos was handed three life sentences without the possibility of parole in mid-2012.
Fast forward to now and Harris is standing on the cusp of becoming the next Vice President of the United States. With Biden slowly by her side, Harris plans on extending her judicial hand all across America. Not only does she want to get rid of the death penalty altogether – but the Democratic duo also wants to open the United States up as an immigration sanctuary. Harris has already stated in the past she would fight states who opposed her when it came to immigration issues.
