The country music star Garth Brooks was forced to postpone his live album preview that was scheduled to take place this week after he suffered an injury to his hand on his farm.

Brooks had planned to host a live interactive preview of his new albums FUN and Triple Live Deluxe on Wednesday, but he was forced to push this back to Monday because of his injury.

“Hey everybody, Mr. and Ms. Yearwood here,” Brooks said in a video with his wife, country music singer Trisha Yearwood. “Saying sorry we have to reschedule to the 26th, Monday, ‘Inside Studio G,’ usual time. We’ll do the ‘Talk Shop Live’ then with the Queen. Hopefully, everything will be great, we’ll be able to play the guitar, it will be good.”

Yearwood chimed in to joke that if her husband is not healed in time, she’ll be on the guitar.

“You don’t want that,” she said as she laughed.

Brooks later added in a statement that he had been trying to play the guitar after the accident, but he just wasn’t able to.

“I kept trying—all the way up to showtime—to play, thinking that it was going to eventually get better. And then finally just had to give in to the fact that I wasn’t going to be able to play for tonight’s show,” he said. “Hopefully Monday everything will be better, and we’ll be right back up running again.”

This comes after Brooks announced that his and Yearwood’s studio cover of A Star Is Born’s “Shallow” made it onto the album FUN. He explained that they decided to record the song after seeing how successful their cover of it was when they performed it on Facebook Live.

“Everything kind of lit up, and in this business everything lights up and then it goes away. This did not go away,” he said, according to Yahoo News. “It just kept lighting up and lighting up, so we went ahead and, per the people, tried it for the new record.”

“And, man, I got to tell you, I always thought Bradley Cooper and I had a lot in common. Now I know we do,” Brooks added. “We both understand that a great song is just finding a great female singer and Gaga is one of the greatest. Miss Yearwood is one of the greatest… so it is officially going to be the single off the record coming up.”
