In a move that should have been made months ago, President Trump will declare both the KKK and Antifa terrorist groups. As they, and Black Lives Matter, all have similar goals, the designation was proper and long in coming.

Just the News reports, “President Trump is set to declare Antifa a domestic terror group, making good on a promise he made after the start of the recent violent protests that have badly damaged some U.S. cities. The declaration is part of his second-term agenda and an appeal to black voters in his reelection bid. The president will also declare the Ku Klux Klan a terrorist group, as part of his larger Black Economic Empowerment-Platinum Plan that also seeks to increase investments in black communities by roughly $500 billion.”

The president said at a Friday campaign rally in Atlanta, “For decades, Democratic politicians like Joe Biden have taken black voters for granted.” He also tweeted in May “The United States of America will be designating ANTIFA as a Terrorist Organization.”

Attorney General William Barr has released a statement on the matter, “The violence instigated and carried out by Antifa and other similar groups in connection with the rioting is domestic terrorism and will be treated accordingly.”

The president has also spoken out on Black Lives Matter, “Our hearts break for their families and for all families who have lost a loved one. … But we can never allow mob rule,” he said, slamming the Black Lives Matter terrorist group. “This is an unusual name for an organization whose ideology and tactics are right now destroying many black live.”

Al-Jazeera, not known for its fondness for the United States, predictably covered for Antifa, “Followers of this decentralised movement engage mostly in nonviolent activities such as protesting, giving speeches, tracking fascist groups and hanging up posters. However, Antifa followers, often clad in all black and wearing masks, justify militant anti-fascism action as self-defence of marginalised people against white supremacists.”

And the New York Times reported that the ACLU has joined the bloodsoaked Antifa bandwagon, “…the American Civil Liberties Union condemned Mr. Trump’s vow in a statement from Hina Shamsi, its national security project director. ‘As Trump’s tweet demonstrates, terrorism is an inherently political label, easily abused and misused. There is no legal authority for designating a domestic group. Any such designation would raise significant due process and First Amendment concerns.’ ” Actually, given the fact that Antifa is a violent terrorist group, not a purveyor of information, it would not raise those concerns from anybody other than those who agree with its Marxist goals. Thus, it is not surprising the ACLU would take this stand.
