Decades ago the NAACP was an honorable organization. It led the legitimate civil rights movement of the 1950s and 60s and was in the forefront of an advocacy for equitable treatment of all Americans.

But that was fifty years ago and now the group has degenerated into a motley collection of grievancemongers, cop haters, and race hustling robots of the hard left. It parades as its former self, masking itself with former glories. But now we see, in a probably unintended glimpse, who the NAACP really is in 2020.

A glaring example of their fall from grace is “Bishop” Talbert Swan, a vicious little man who runs the NAACP chapter in Springfield, Massachusetts. The ersatz bish wrote, per the shooting of two yet unnamed law enforcement officers in California yesterday, “There’s no such thing as BLUE LIVES… Stop comparing your JOB with my LIFE… Your CAREER is a choice, my BLACKNESS isn’t. #BlackLivesMatter  #BlueLivesMatter…No one deserves to be unjustly murdered, police or citizens. If you’re expressing outrage over the shooting of two sheriff’s deputies, but we’re defending #KyleRittenhouse murdering two protesters in #Kenosha only days ago, you need to shut up and have a seat.”

Swan, whose muddled thinking matches his eloquence, is all over the road with this. First he denies the basic humanity of law enforcement officers and also anyone who is not black, an ignorant bit of Kluxery if there ever was one.

Then he backtracks and tries to posit a moral symmetry between the attempted murder of two innocent law enforcement officers and an obvious case of self-defense regarding the case in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The basic facts that Swan does not want you to realize is that those two sheriff deputies were in their squad care vigilantly guarding against crime. The scum who shot them is the guilty party.

But Swan believes he is on the same moral plane as a young man who was fighting for his life against Antifa terrorists who were trying to murder him. The cop shooter, a failed murderer. Kyle Rittenhouse, a defender of his community and of the American right to self-defense. Swan thinks they are the same person, which says an awful lot about Swan. Saying more about Swan, this is how he reacted to the tragic death of the president’s brother.

Dear Grim Reaper, You took the #wrongtrump.” Ah yes, can’t you just feel the milk of Christian kindness emanating from Swan? Or perhaps I missed that part of the Bible that instructed clerics to mock death, if you can call Swan a cleric and not just a leftist huckster in a cardboard collar.

Even both President Trump and Joe Biden, a man whose party sides with those who hate and shoot cops, decried the shootings in California. Biden said it was “unconscionable,” while the president called for the death penalty for the shooter.

Fox News on the condition of the officers: “The deputies, a 24-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, were “fighting for their lives” as they underwent surgery following the attack, which occurred around 7 p.m. local time on Saturday outside a Metro rail station in Compton, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.” The good wishes for a speedy recovery go out from any decent American to the two deputies. That list does not include, in either way, Talbert Swan.
