Many conservatives have been there, the Libertarian temptation. You get so disgusted with RINOs sometimes and you won’t even consider the Democrats because they are bat guano crazy, so you say: Hey, who are these other guys? And the Libertarians sound really good on some domestic issues, especially economics. And then you get to their other ideas, especially on national security, and you see that they are essentially out to lunch.

To prove that point their presidential nominee, Jo Jorgensen, talked to Fox News. 

“Switzerland is armed and neutral,” Jorgensen explained to podcast host Dave Anthony. “They’re not pacifists. They’re not isolationists. They are a banking center. They accept tourism. People go in and out freely and they trade with other people. That’s what I want the United States to look like. However, Switzerland doesn’t get its nose in everybody else’s business and they try not to be … the world’s policeman. So I would get out there and I would say that we need to treat the world as our neighbors, not our combatants. And we need to bring the troops home.”

Dear God, bring the troops home? Shades of McGovern ’72. In regards to Afghanistan and Iraq what the geopolitical Bambi doesn’t understand is that the president has done just that. And Switzerland? Nice place, been there. But, really? If Switzerland falls to the modern socialist and PC hordes a lot of people will be out of a lot of money. If we fall? There goes the only guarantor in the world of general peace and freedom. Yeah Jo, not the same.

And, I’ve actually been to the Libertarian Party too. Did some work for them in the 90s. I still bear the emotional scars. Btw, here are their massive numbers at a rally. Not exactly MAGA, now is it…

 

Jorgensen is the first woman to receive the Libertarian Party’s presidential nomination. Groovy. But she is also polling at 2.8% in the RealClearPolitics national average. In a close election most of that comes off the GOP number. Thus, she’s nothing but a spoiler.

“The problem now is I’m not even included, my name is not in the polls. So how are we supposed to be on stage if we’re not in the polls?” You’re not included in the polls or debates because you are irrelevant other than as a Biden tool.

She disagrees, “I would suggest you’re throwing your vote away if you vote for something you don’t want. I understand why people voted for Trump. They wanted an outsider. They felt that government was too big. They wanted to reduce the deficit, the debt. They wanted to cut spending. They wanted to bring the troops home. And he’s done none of that.” Ok, now she’s lying, as she knows Trump has brought lots of troops home from Afghanistan and Iraq and he’s cut government dramatically. But if she doesn’t lie she won’t have anything to run on.

Jorgensen continued, “The Democratic Party was traditionally the party of anti-war, of free speech. And they are none of these things now. How about voting and telling Biden, ‘No, I don’t want a war hawk. I want peace in the world.”

Poor Jorgensen feels, not thinks, if America “wants peace” all other nations will magically dissolve their militaries and peace will break out for a glorious eternity. However, the world doesn’t work like that. Because Jo Jorgensen and many Libertarians believe it does, they are rightfully consigned to the footnotes of American politics.
