Earlier this week, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough outrageously claimed that President Donald Trump is a violent person. On Friday, he took this a step further by alleging that the president “would shoot us if he could.”

Scarborough made this comment while talking to his wife and cohost, Mika Brzezinski.

“This is a man who would do anything,” Brzezinski said. “I don’t think he’s leaving. I think he will try to cheat to stay and do whatever he can to create chaos and scorch the earth around this country and get what he wants.”

“I think it’s not debatable anymore how far this man will go, how low he will go, and how dark his soul is,” she added.

“Mika, I said several weeks ago, the man would shoot us if he could,” Scarborough responded.

“I’m not going to Fifth Avenue, I’m serious,” Brzezinski said, referring to a joke Trump made while campaigning in 2016.

“I think even the anti-anti-Trump brigade that has been so cowardly and trying to prop him up would admit that Donald Trump has absolute contempt for anything that binds him, as far as power goes, and would do whatever he could get away with,” Scarborough replied.

This comes days after Scarborough claimed that President Trump is a violent man.

“[Y]ou know, Mika, also, this is the same guy, and we brought it up in real-time when he was doing it, I wrote about it in ‘The Washington Post’ column, this is a guy that constantly talked about beating up people, back in the good ol’ days they used to beat up people and drag them out,” Scarborough said on Tuesday. “‘And if you beat up people, I will pay for your defense.’ And, you know, I had long said that he was disqualified back even in February after he denied knowing who David Duke and the KKK was.”

“Think about this: Remember, folks, he was talking about Second Amendment solutions to stop Hillary Clinton from selecting federal judges and Supreme Court justices,” the MSNBC host added. “He was suggesting that the people who support Second Amendment assassinate Hillary Clinton. I remember writing an op-ed there saying the Republican Party has no choice, they have to take him off the ticket. They haven’t. So now, here we are, they’re coming up on an election, Mika. They’ve ignored all these warnings for four years, and they’re going to be routed.”
