The ex-husband of Jill Biden spoke out this week to call out Joe Biden for allegedly lying about how he met his wife.
Bill Stevenson, who was married to Jill from 1970 to 1975, told Inside Edition that Biden did not really meet her on a blind date. Instead, Stevenson said that the two met through an extramarital affair.

Stevenson said that he introduced Jill to Biden back in 1972, when the now-Democratic presidential nominee was first running for Senate.
“I was betrayed by the Bidens. Joe was my friend. Jill was my wife,” said Stevenson, who fundraised for Biden’s first Senate campaign. He added that he decided to speak out now “because [Biden] is picking on people about character.”
Biden has claimed for years that he met Jill, who was a local model at the time, after his brother Frank set them up on a blind date in 1975. This was three years after Biden lost his first wife Neilia and infant daughter Naomi in a car accident, according to The Washington Free Beacon.
Biden claims that he and Jill went to a movie together and quickly fell in love, marrying two years later. Stevenson, however, alleges that this is a total lie, as he claims to have brought Jill to Biden’s home in 1972.

“Right before the election in ’72, Jill, Joe, Neilia, and I were in [Biden’s] kitchen,” Stevenson said. “How do you forget that?”
Stevenson, who owned a popular college bar at the time, explained that he first realized his wife was having an affair with Biden when a man came by his establishment one day asking him to pay for damage Jill had apparently caused to his car during a fender-bender. The man said that Biden, not Jill, had been driving her car at the time of the accident.
Stevenson said that he had also been suspicious when Jill declined to go with him to meet Bruce Springsteen, saying that she had to babysit Biden’s two young children instead. He added that they soon split up, and Jill went on to marry Biden.
Jill has denied the claims being made by Stevenson through a spokesperson, saying, “These claims are fictitious seemingly to sell and promote a book.”
