Despite national protesters having constitutional rights to peacefully protest, nothing grants anyone in the United States permission to physically block the free flow of anyone else. Apparently, protesters in San Diego, California did not get the memo (or they did and chose to use it as an incendiary catalyst).

In a shocking display of obstinance and arrogance, a group of protesters reacting to the Kenosha, Wisconsin officer-involved shooting of armed/wanted felon Jacob Blake formed a line among themselves and essentially disallowed any San Diego cops from either entering or exiting their own police station—a taxpayer-owned facility, mind you.

Come to think of it, it may be not so shocking nowadays, given the disgusting consecutive days of daily protests/riots and petulant sophomoric behavior from those who bark demands and cause chaotic destruction as if due process is a mere mirage. Communication vs. pandemonium (looting, burning, battering, murdering) offers a crystal-clear distinction…and we keep witnessing cliques who seem to prefer the latter, unfortunately.

Seems the sad Seattle model of taking over a law enforcement entity is contagious and germs spread to San Diego.

The San Diego Police Department released a statement pertaining to this homebased standoff:

A group of 50-55 people are at Police headquarters protesting the Kenosha (WI) incident. At one point, they blocked the entrance/exit driveways. Several warnings to let officers in and out of headquarters were given by megaphone.

Officers moved forward to clear the entrance/exit when an officer was hit in the head with a cane. Several officers were punched. One arrest was made for the assault on the officer with a cane and two arrests were made for resisting/obstructing the officers.

One Facebook commenter opined this way: “For god sake that happened in Wisconsin and not here and not all police are the same we are cool here in San Diego stop harassing our LEO!”

Another social media user rendered a fairly decent resolution: “SDPD screw all this BS! Bust out all those tools you went to the academy to use and fkn blast them all! Have no mercy on them! Give them what they come looking for!”

What are your thoughts on this nonsense?
