The Trump campaign intends to rain on the Democrat parade by buying up ad time across various social media platforms during their convention week starting on Monday.
The New York Times reported on Saturday, “The Trump campaign will be taking over the YouTube main page banner for a whopping 96 hours. The campaign has also reportedly bought up premium ad space on Hulu — meaning viewers cannot skip the Trump ads before watching their desired content.”
The Trump team is taking no prisoners. “Unheard of scale & saturation,” Tim Murtaugh, the Trump campaign’s communications director tweeted on Saturday. “Never before seen, political or corporate. Millions more will watch TRUMP content than will watch the DNC. It’s great that Team Biden let the Trump campaign grab up the best premium real estate on the Internet during Joe’s big week. We’ll show millions of Americans exactly how the radical, leftist takeover of Joe Biden is now complete.”
The Trump campaign will be everywhere – virtually – during the Dem convention next week.

Fox News piled on, “Other digital platforms such as the Washington Post, Fox News and the Wall Street Journal will all have ad space reserved on their homepages, purchased by the Trump campaign for a reported seven-figure amount, which could even surpass $10 million, depending on ad engagement.”
But the Biden campaign countered, “No smoke and mirrors charade can conceal that Donald Trump’s failed leadership has cost over 167,000 Americans their lives and driven the strong economy he inherited from the Obama-Biden Administration into one of the deepest recessions in our history,” said Biden staffer Andrew Bates.
Meanwhile, on the Bill Maher show, recently former Democrat presidential candidate and tech mogul Andrew Yang had some wise words for his party: “When I was campaigning around the country, I said, ‘I’m running for president,’ and someone would say, ‘What party?’ and I’d say, ‘Democrat,’ and you could see this negative reaction oftentimes. And this is from truck drivers or waitresses or retail clerks that I thought the Democratic Party was fighting for. And the fact that our message is not reaching certain Americans. I think the Democrats need to do some soul-searching and say, ‘Why is it, why is it that so many people think the Democratic Party isn’t speaking to them, isn’t fighting for them, is patronizing them?…I think the Democratic Party has a tendency to deliver a message in a particular way and then say, ‘If you don’t get that message, it’s your fault.’ Instead, we should be going to the people where they are and speak to them in a way that they appreciate and understand. I think Republicans, unfortunately, get that to a higher degree than Democrats do. And as a result, we’re in danger of being perceived as this urban party or the party of the educated elite and that’s what’s created an opening for Republicans to make their case over the last number of years.”
However, the Biden campaign is definitely tone deaf.
