The state of Oregon and its government-supported racism gives us yet another reason for throwing it out of the Union (along with Washington state and California), as it enacted a program that excludes people from participating just on the basis of the color of their skin.
Just the News reports, “The Oregon Cares Fund for Black Relief & Resiliency states that it is ‘a $62 million targeted cash investment from the CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Fund’ intended to ‘provide economic relief for the black community, who are among Oregon’s most vulnerable groups due to systemic divestment and disparities widened and exacerbated by COVID-19.'”
Tweeter “Piano” seems to have hit the nail on the head.
Generally speaking, a good way to identify whether something is racist is to replace the race of the original statement with a different one (white for black, black for white, etc) and see how it sounds when you read it that way.

It is exceedingly clear that the avowedly race-specific fund violates federal prohibitions on racial discrimination. Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 states that “any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance” is forbidden from racially discriminating against participants. But leftists don’t let a silly thing like the law bother them.
Just the News adds, “The fund ‘provides cash grants to black individuals and families, black-owned businesses, and Black-led nonprofit organizations who have experienced financial adversity due to COVID-19.’
“The fund’s council, which is ‘composed of eleven black leaders from across the state of Oregon,’ is currently reviewing applications for fund distributions. It expects all funds to be distributed no later than Dec. 30 of this year.”
So, referring to our pal Piano’s wisdom, if a fund was set up to only aid whites and was led by a group composed of only whites, excluding anyone else on the basis of skin color, would there by a legitimate problem with that? Of course. Racism is racism is racism.
But guilty white and Bolshevik racism is based on the premise that blacks and other minorities are special little dolls, not people, to be coddled and bribed, lest they start voting in their own interests.
It is the worst form of patronizing arrogance, essentially telling minorities they aren’t good enough to get ahead without aid from the Great White Welfare State. Given the target, it’s not Jim Crow. It’s Jim Dove racism.
