You can already see it, like some preordained destiny. In the veep debate currently scheduled for October 7th at the University of Utah, Kamala Harris will make some befuddled hysterical opening statement accusing President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence of fascism and pistol whipping kittens for orgiastic pleasure.

Pence will sigh. Then he will steadily and logically make a case for Trump and against Biden. The press will then echo Harris, as the airhead veep nominee herself sanctimoniously plays the race card and her decibel range reaches ionospheric levels.

Pence, in a Wednesday night interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, played it smart rather than say, as above, what he really thinks. He raised expectations to watch her fall from an artificial height and went after the Democrat ticket at their vulnerable points. “I think she is a skilled debater, but I can’t wait to get to Salt Lake City and be on the stage —whether to compare Joe Biden’s nearly 50 years in public life, the agenda of the radical Left, the agenda that she’s embraced throughout her political career — with the results of this president and this administration.”

A GOP political celebrity and possible 2024 ticket contender agreed.

Pence hit their minority base, anticipating the race card: “Joe Biden and Kamala Harris come from a party that’s been talking about helping African-Americans for decades. This is a president who, because of the policies we advanced, we actually saw the lowest unemployment ever recorded for African-Americans. We saw the creation of thousands of opportunity zones creating billions of dollars of investment in our inner cities. This is a president who doubled the school choice program here in our nation’s capital, has been fighting for educational opportunities for every American, especially [in] our minority communities.” Cue Harris to accuse them both of racism. Cue the media to sympathetically nod.

Pence scorched the Democrats regarding taxation and more: “They actually want to raise taxes by $4 trillion. They want to do their own version of the Green New Deal, of a $2 trillion, massive environmental agenda. They’re going to appoint activist [judges] to our courts. They’re going to support taxpayer funding of abortion. They support open borders.”

Then he administered the coup de grâce, saying, “And the truth of the matter is, beyond all of that, with everything that’s happening in Chicago and New York and Portland and Seattle, you have in President Trump, a leader who is standing without apology with the men and women of law enforcement. And in Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are Democratic Party and the radical Left, you have people talking about cutting funding to law enforcement, a party that is advocating defunding law enforcement. The choice could not be clearer.”

Will their clash have an effect on the race? Marginally. It will bolster the Republican message on how leftwing the ticket is and how much they are in the thrall of Antifa and Black Lives Matter. But the undercard will be more entertaining than anything else. Make sure to bring your own popcorn.
