The liberal elites of Hollywood lost their minds on Wednesday night during the Democratic National Convention when Kamala Harris gave her acceptance speech as Joe Biden’s vice presidential pick. Many celebrities went so far as to say they broke down in tears as she spoke.
One of Harris’ biggest endorsements came from actor Ben Stiller, who said she is “everything the country needs” right now.
“#KAMALA delivering strength, leadership and humanity in a historic moment,” the “Zoolander” star tweeted. “Everything the country needs to hear and see right now.”

Actresses Alyssa Milano and Mandy Moore both said that they broke down in tears during her speech.
“TEARS AND HOPE,” Milano wrote. “Thank you @KamalaHarris.”
“What a night. In tears,” Moore tweeted. “Flabbergasted at the immense weight of words all around and flying high on hope from @BarackObama and @KamalaHarris. Our soon to be Madame Vice President is truly the future.”

Former “The Office” star Mindy Kaling tweeted that she was emotional watching Harris’ speech as well.
“Put my daughter to bed and am watching @SenKamalaHarris a little delayed,” she wrote. “This intro video of her sister, niece and stepdaughter is already making me cry. Should I wake up my 2 year old and have her watch?”
“As someone who has a deceased Indian mother and scientist who was my best friend, I can’t believe this is our candidate for Vice President,” Kaling added. “How in my lifetime? How?”

“Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi had a similar reaction.
“I literally have tears in my eyes,” the reality television host tweeted. “@KamalaHarris just said ‘chithis’ which means auntie. My heart is so full right now.”

Finally, the singer and actress Bette Midler was so excited about the speech that she could barely keep it together.
“Bravo! Kamala! Oh, wow! There’s Joe! Great speech…socially distant…this is so weird, but so, so moving —and full of hope,” she tweeted.
