Walmart has announced that it will no longer be selling “All Lives Matter” merchandise on its website after receiving tons of backlash from leftists who found clothing that featured this logo posted to the retailer’s site.

Last week, Walmart came under fire when Internet users found clothing on its website that featured variations of “Black Lives Matter” that included “All Lives Matter,” “Blue Lives Matter,” “Irish Lives Matter,” and “Homeless Lives Matter.”

Walmart responded by saying it would reevaluate all the “Lives Matter” goods sold on its website, including ones that are listed by third-party vendors. On Monday night, the retail chain announced it would halt the sale of “All Lives Matter” merchandise “indefinitely.”

“We fundamentally believe all lives do matter and every individual deserves respect,” Walmart said in a statement obtained by USA Today. “However, as we listened, we came to understand that the way some, but not all, people are using the phrase ‘All Lives Matter’ in the current environment intentionally minimized the focus on the painful reality of racial inequity.”

While Walmart added that other variations of “Lives Matter” would still be sold, it added that these items would be scrutinized to make sure they meet the business’ standards. This comes days after Walmart announced that it would remove the Mississippi state flag from all of its stores because the flag includes a Confederate emblem. “We believe it’s the right thing to do, and is consistent with Walmart’s position to not sell merchandise with the confederate flag from stores and online sites, as part of our commitment to provide a welcoming and inclusive experience for all of our customers in the communities we serve,” said Walmart spokesperson Anne Hatfield.

Racial tensions have been at an all-time high in the United States over the past few weeks, ever since the death of George Floyd, who died in Minneapolis police custody back in May. Since then, complete chaos has ensued as riots continue to spread across the country. With brands and people being “cancelled” left and right for the slightest racial infractions, it’s not surprising that Walmart has buckled to the pressure when it comes to “All Lives Matter” merchandise.
