Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just got some bad news when they were told to find a new income source by an organization called Republic, which campaigns to have the British monarchy abolished.

Graham Smith, the CEO of the organization, told the U.K. Express that the British public do not owe Harry and Meghan anything.

“I think most people would be surprised by any suggestion that people sitting on £30million in the bank might struggle in anyway finically,” Smith said. “So I think if they want to live the lifestyle that people with £100million to then they have a problem. But I think they will be absolutely fine and we don’t owe them a living, we don’t owe them a penny. They ought to go and find their own source of income or live off what they have.”

Smith went on to denounce Meghan’s claim that her wedding raised £1billion for the United Kingdom’s economy, saying that there is absolutely no evidence of this. In fact, he said that Harry and Meghan’s wedding was instead a “net-loss” for U.K. taxpayers.

“Meghan Markle is falling for the same spin that the royal household put out,” Smith explained. “There is no evidence at all that the monarchy ever bring money in from tourism. The idea that her wedding brought in £1billion is pure fiction.”

“There just isn’t any evidence to support that whatsoever,” he added. “It was a net loss for the British taxpayers and to try and justify spending public money on her wedding by making these rather weird claims is just another sign of their entitlement.”

Earlier this year, Harry and Meghan shocked the world when they stepped down as senior members of the British royal family. They then briefly moved to Canada before relocating to Meghan’s hometown of Los Angeles, California. There, they have been living in the $18 million home of Hollywood mogul Tyler Perry with their 1 year-old son Archie before looking for a house of their own in the area.

This comes after the 79 year-old royal photographer Arthur Edwards claimed that Meghan “had no intention of staying in the UK” after her marriage to Harry.

“It’s not in her plans and she is dragging Harry along and unfortunately, he’s gone along with it,” he said.
