U.S. Attorney General William Barr said late last week that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is “engaged in an economic blitzkrieg” aimed at the United States and that it could be “the most important issue for our nation and the world in the 21st century. [T]he ultimate ambition of China’s rulers isn’t to trade with the United States. It is to raid the United States.”

“The CCP has launched an orchestrated campaign, across all of its many tentacles in Chinese government and society, to exploit the openness of our institutions in order to destroy them,” Barr said at an address at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum.

“As one Defense Health Agency official noted, should China decide to limit or restrict the delivery of APIs (active pharmaceutical ingredient) to the United States, it could result in severe shortages of pharmaceuticals for both domestic and military uses.”

Barr also spoke of Chinese intimidation, censorship, and corruption in the American film industry. “Sadly, examples of American business bowing to Beijing are legion,” he said, illustrating how Hollywood “regularly censors its own movies to appease the Chinese Communist Party.” Examples he gave included the films “World War Z” and “Doctor Strange.” Chinese investors and firms have massive financial involvement and major stakes in most Hollywood studios.

“Chinese government censors don’t need to say a word, because Hollywood is doing their work for them. This is a massive propaganda coup for the Chinese Communist Party… If you are an American business leader, appeasing the PRC may bring short-term rewards. But in the end, the PRC’s goal is to replace you.”

In many ways government leaders in the West, with the noted exception of the Trump administration and the UK under Boris Johnson, are sleepwalking into disaster just as governments in the 1930s did in regards to Hitler. Some groups, like the Democrats and their Hollywood propaganda arm, are inadvertently or perhaps intentionally aiding this process from within the very cultural and economic bastions of the West itself.

Even Texas is threatened with a large Chinese economic base, a topic this publication has covered, within its borders. This is a project the Trump administration is attempting to stop on national security grounds.

All across the globe, usually by espionage and economic subversion, China is on the march. In Europe it sells its Huawei 5G systems to willing customers. But the Brits know better.

However, other European countries and their leaders prefer Chinese cash to national security. In Africa, China spends billions each year investing in infrastructure and arms to friendly despots, drawing the authoritarian regimes there closer to its grip. In Asia, China challenges the American Pacific Fleet for military superiority and has made aggressive moves against other Asian nations in the Spratly Islands and surrounding areas.

These moves threaten American allies like the Philippines, Taiwan, Australia, Vietnam, and South Korea. The United States has countered with an aggressive forward defense in the Spratly Islands and regarding Taiwan. But if American defense strategy becomes weak and corrupted by the Chinese influence in the Democratic Party in the event of a Biden administration, the Chinese will have carte blanche to run amok in the Pacific and all over the globe.
