Perhaps anticipating a Biden win in the presidential race, radical leftist Democrat Congresswomen Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts announced the BREATHE Act on Wednesday. Both Democrats are part of the so-called four-member “Squad,” a group of female hard-left House members that also includes Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and ‎Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.

This radical pro-crime and anti-police proposal would gut law enforcement, completely do away with American borders, and mandate possibly trillions of taxpayer dollars to slave reparations. Given no Americans presently hold slaves —that practice is restricted today to African and socialist nations— it is unclear why present-day American taxpayers would be asked to foot the bill for a crime they did not commit.

Under the radical crime-promoting bill, federal funds to local police and federal agencies would be dramatically cut—instead, the funds would be used to pay for health care, education, and environmental housing programs. It is an attempt to capitalize on the recent social unrest in America to ram through socialized medicine, PC indoctrination, and extremist green proposals.

The bill would eliminate federal programs and agencies used to finance Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the controversial Department of Defense 1033 program, which transfers excess military equipment to civilian law enforcement agencies. So, the bill would throw open the border to rabble. Then once the rabble pours in ICE will no longer be able to monitor or arrest them no matter what they do.

And disarm police? Of course. That makes the paramilitary tactics of Antifa and Black Lives Matter that much harder to stop. So next time they won’t just take several blocks or a Wendy’s, next time they’ll take a whole city and the police will shoot spitballs at them.

Other provisions include abolishing surveillance tactics disproportionately used to target minority communities, electronic monitoring —including ankle monitors, smartphone apps and other tools— ending civil asset forfeiture, the mistargeted reparations, ending the “three strikes” law, and repealing laws that criminalize illegal immigration. More fun? No more watching out for criminals if they happen to be of government-approved minority status, no more smart parole and monitoring tactics. The civil asset forfeiture thing I can dig, three strikes as currently done is not bright. Also making all illegal immigration fine and dandy is cultural suicide. Okay, fine, give them two stars for effort.

In addition, it would offer a 50 percent match of savings for states to close down detention facilities and prisons, the elimination of gang databases, and the forgiving of all fees and surcharges within the justice system. And to top it off? Close prisons, let gangs —no doubt to include Black Lives Matter— run free. The last one on fees…the third star for effort.

The bill has no chance of passage in this political environment. But given who the Biden administration could bring in with them in January, it may stand a much better chance then. Lovely, just lovely.
