Two days after former “Glee” actress Naya Rivera’s body was found in Lake Piru in California, a chilling video has resurfaced in which she gives an incredible performance of the song “If I Die Young.”

The U.K. Mirror reported that the clip is from a 2013 episode of “Glee” that was filmed after the tragic death of actor Cory Monteith. In the video, Rivera’s character of Santana Lopez was dedicating the song by The Band Perry to Finn Hudson, Monteith’s character who was killed off the show after the actor died in a drug overdose.

In a haunting twist, Rivera’s body was found seven years to the day after Monteith died.

“If I die young, bury me in satin, lay me down in a bed of roses,” Rivera sang in the emotional performance. “Sink me in the river at dawn, send me away with the words of a love song.”

Other lyrics of the acoustic performance include, “Lord make me a rainbow, I’ll shine down on my mother, She’ll know I’m safe with you when she stands under my colours, oh and life ain’t always what you think it oughta be, no ain’t even grey, but she buries her baby.”

“The sharp knife of a short life, well, I’ve had just enough time,” Rivera continues as her character breaks down in tears.

The clip of Rivera’s performance has gone viral in the days since her untimely death.

“Naya Rivera singing ‘If I Die Young… sink in me in the river…’ as tribute to Cory and then her body being found on the exact anniversary of his death is just wow…so heartbreaking,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “Naya Rivera singing ‘If i die young’ during the Finn Hudson tribute special episode… This voice, those lyrics… it give me chills…”

“The fact that Naya Rivera’s best performance on Glee was ‘If I Die Young’ for Cory Monteith’s death and she ended up dying young and her body was discovered on the anniversary of Cory’s death is shattering my heart,” a third user wrote.

Rivera, 33, reportedly drowned in Lake Piru last Wednesday after going boating with her 4 year-old son Josey. Three hours after they rented their pontoon, Josey was found sleeping on it alone with Rivera nowhere to be found. It took five days to find the actress’s body, and police have since concluded that she drowned that same day.

Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub said on Monday that Josey had told investigators that Rivera had helped him get back on the boat, but when he looked back, he saw her disappear into the water.

“It would be speculation to say at this point,” Ayub said of what could have happened. “There are a lot of currents on the lake that get up here, particularly in the afternoon. We believe it was mid-afternoon when she disappeared. The idea of perhaps being that the boat started drifting, it was unanchored, and that she mustered enough energy to get her son back onto the boat, but not enough to save herself.”
