On Friday, Ivy League Princeton University decided to remove the name of failed and loathed Democrat President Woodrow Wilson from the name of one of its schools.

Wilson, prior to becoming president in 1913, was the president of Princeton.

He is widely seen as the worst president in the history of the United States.

Ted Cruz amusingly made sport of their decision.

Granted, Wilson’s racial views were abhorrent and ignorant, which is as normal for Democrats then as it is now.

That is the specified reason for Princeton’s actions. Princeton comments, “The trustees conclude that Woodrow Wilson’s racist thinking and policies make him an inappropriate namesake for a school or college whose scholars, students, and alumni must firmly stand against racism in all its forms.” The school will be known as “The Princeton School of Public and International Affairs,” while the college will simply be called “First College.”

It is nice to see Democrat racism noted, for once.

But they inadvertently also scrub from the school the name of the man who brought in Prohibition, direct election of U.S. Senators, the diktat of Versailles, the Palmer Raids, and U.S. involvement in WWI.

Not to mention his last two years he was an invalid and the nation was run by his wife and his top aide.

Who do you think would win the Presidency?

Prohibition was an insane Wilsonian experiment in bluestocking lifestyle ideology that created bootlegging, which prefaced the drug-running of today.

It is the logical outcome of any ideology that permits government to run amok in trying to control the details of the personal lives of the citizenry.

Before Wilson’s tenure in office U.S. Senators were elected by state legislatures.

It truly made them an upper house, as designed by the Founders.

But after the 17th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution the Senate was turned into nothing more than a super-charged mob-like House of Representatives, as anyone can see by many of their ridiculous hijinks.

After the end of WWI Wilson helped to design the Versailles “Peace” treaty, which was so punitive towards Germany it set up WWII.

The Palmer Raids were the raids of government agents serving Wilson’s Attorney General A. Mitchell Palmer.

Ignoring the law and the Constitution, much like FBI corruption today, the Palmer Raids arrested and imprisoned those who were said to be radicals by Wilson and Palmer, but who were in reality just opponent’s of Wilsonian policies.

Again, the actions of the FBI and the Mueller probe come to mind.

Lastly, his involvement in the “war to end all wars” (WWI) to “make the world safe for democracy” presaged was has come to be known as “Wilsonian” foreign escapades that always seen to backfire on the United States.

Any value to our WWI fight was lost at Versailles.

This absurd almost neo-con thinking, that America can easily transpose its democratic culture to other nations and societies, brings to mind the American intervention in Iraq that has been consistently opposed by President Trump before and after he entered office.

For all these reasons and more Woodrow Wilson was an incompetent racist failure as a president.

Princeton, once his academic constituency, has inadvertently done the right thing. Is this view a bit of conservative hypocrisy, given my opposition to other examples of the cancel culture?

It absolutely is. Why should the hard left have all the fun?
