Hollywood star Ellen Barkin just launched an appalling attack on both President Donald Trump and Christianity that has left Americans everywhere sickened.

“If Jesus was our savior trump would have gone down in flames before he crossed the street,” tweeted Barkin. The “Ocean’s Thirteen” star tweeted this alongside video of President Trump’s White House Rose Garden address on Monday in which he promised to stop the violence that is currently plaguing our country.

“And now I’m going to pay my respects to a very, very special place,” Trump said at the conclusion of his speech. He then left to walk across Lafayette Park to St. John’s Episcopal Church, which had been burned by rioters protesting the death of George Floyd.

Unfortunately for Barkin, her attempt to shame Trump for being a Christian quickly backfired on her when social media users let her know that she’d crossed the line:

This is far from the first time Barkin has showcased her anti-Trump vitriol. Back in April, she blamed Trump for American coronavirus deaths despite the fact that the disease originated in China, saying that he is responsible for more deaths than three former presidents. “Trump is responsible for more deaths than Kennedy Johnson and Nixon,” Barkin tweeted. “He will go down in history as the Stalin of incompetence and greed.”

It seems the anti-Trump sentiment is really strong in this one! We can’t wait to see how Barkin reacts when Trump wins again in November.
