On your screens the last several nights you have seen vicious terrorists and arsonists looting American cities, destroying the property of black and white citizens alike. But CNN‘s Don Lemon told a different story to his viewers on Monday. He blames presidential racism for any disturbances and thinks any forceful response to the rioting of “peaceful protestors” is the beginning of a dictatorship. The president’s White House Rose Garden speech, where Trump promised to restore peace to American streets, and the president’s walk to St. John’s Episcopal Church to reaffirm American values, didn’t sit well with Lemon at all.

Lemon commented, “This was a made-for-television moment. And what I wanted to say after that and that I believed to be true and that I know to be true now is that earlier on that phone call…when the president said, ‘You are being weak, you have to show strength’…those were the orders from the commander in chief. For this very moment that just happened right before our eyes, why were we pretending otherwise? Open your eyes, America. Open your eyes. We are teetering on a dictatorship. This is chaos. Has the president— I’m listening, is the president declaring war on Americans? What is happening here? He is saying that he wants to protect peaceful protesters at the same time sending law enforcement and military into the streets to push peaceful protesters back, to be aggressive with peaceful protesters. He is doing the exact opposite of what he said in that speech [emphasis added].” Gee, think Lemon has a theme going?

It’s the old practice of the Big Lie, used by the Nazis and the communists when they needed to dull the senses and logic of a people they sought to enslave. They would tell those people not to trust their own eyes, only the words of a hard-core propagandist. Speaking of such, media critic Curtis Houck shows us Lemon’s on-air practice of that kind of disinformation.

But then, Lemon has a history of defending Antifa and radical thugs. From 2017, talking about the Charlottesville march: “Listen, no organization is perfect. There was some violence. No one condones violence, but there were different reasons for Antifa and for these neo-Nazis to be there. One, racists, fascists, the other group, fighting racist fascists. There is a distinction there.”

By defending violent rioters and terming them “peaceful,” Lemon is condoning violence. He is giving a personal seal of approval to the murder of police officers, to the destruction of small businesses that serve America’s urban centers, to the burning down of numerous homes and facilities across the country, and to the lawlessness that has sadly become the norm today on many city streets in the United States.

He isn’t alone in his approval of ideological violence. Fellow Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden join Lemon, all from the comfort of their posh homes and luxurious offices, in aiding and abetting forces that would destroy this country, the Constitution, and our basic values. It recalls when Barack Obama said in 2008 that he wanted to “fundamentally” change this country. On the streets of America today and probably tonight, you can see that rough beast of “fundamental” change, eyes flaming with hate, struggling to be born. It must be stopped.
