A disturbing video is going viral this week showing the moment cops dragged away a woman who was holding a sign that said “We Are Free” as she sat on a beach in Miami Beach, Florida.

Kimberly Falkenstine, 33, was protesting COVID-19 beach closures and she refused to leave when confronted by officers, according to WTVJ-TV. They ended up arresting her and charging her with violating an emergency order, trespassing, and resisting an officer without violence.

The cops came upon Falkenstine just after she and her husband participated in a protest at Lummus Park, where demonstrators demanded that South Florida reopen its beaches and economy. When confronted by the officers, Falkenstine told them that the beach was for the public and that it was her right to be there.

The entire incident was captured on camera by a man who was with Falkenstine. The video opens with her saying that the number of officers patrolling the beach is “ridiculous.”

“This is a power trip. This has nothing to do with the virus,” she said.

After Falkenstine sat down on the beach, a patrol car can be seen arriving. Two other vehicles quickly made their way to the scene, and three officers ended up approaching the woman. When they got to Falkenstine, she raised her sign over her head before the cops grabbed her arms.

As the officers dragged Falkenstine away, a crowd gathered to cheer her on.

We have to agree with Falkenstine that this really is ridiculous. Things have gone way too far, and these officers are clearly on the power trip of a lifetime. Leftist governments all over the country are relishing controlling every aspect of our lives in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, and it’s time for us to take our liberties back. The American people deserve better than this.
