Charlotte-Mecklenburg Fraternal Order of Police spokesman Todd Walther just spoke out to say that 70% of those who have been arrested in race riots this week are not from the state of North Carolina.
“This is not Charlotte that’s out here,” he said, according to Real Clear Politics. “These are outside entities that are coming in and causing these problems. These are not protestors, these are criminals.”

“I’m not saying all the people, but we’ve got the instigators that are coming in from the outside,” Walther continued. “They were coming in on buses from out of state. If you go back and look at some of the arrests that were made last night. I can about say probably 70% of those had out-of-state IDs. They’re not coming from Charlotte.”
Tensions have reached an all-time high in recent days after the death of George Floyd, who died in police custody on Monday night in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After Floyd’s death, video went viral showing a police officer kneeling on his neck as he frantically told the cop that he could not breathe.
Officer Derek Chauvin has since been arrested for Floyd’s murder, and President Donald Trump immediately called for the Department of Justice to investigate his death. Despite this, violent protests have since been happening all over the country, and they are showing no signs of slowing down. Making matters even worse is the fact that Americans everywhere have spent the past few weeks locked up at home in quarantine amidst the coronavirus pandemic, meaning their frustrations that have been pent up for weeks have now boiled over in these riots.
Democrats have been in full support of the violent riots taking place in cities like Charlotte, as they are clearly hoping they will lead to Trump losing the election in November. Their behavior has proven once and for all that the left would rather see America fail than see Trump succeed.
