Barr Expects No Criminal Investigation Of Biden Or Obama From Durham Review

Attorney General Barr says he expects there will be no criminal investigation into Obama or Biden from the review of how the Russia probe started.

Attorney General William Barr says he expects there will be no criminal investigation into Barack Obama or Joe Biden from the review of how the Russia probe started.

Barr: “Not Every Abuse Of Power Is A Federal Crime”

In a press conference, Barr said that the investigation by US Attorney John Durham into how the Russia probe into President Trump and his associates started was going well. Some aspects of the Russia probe “are being investigated as potential crimes,” Barr confirmed, but said that this would most likely not apply to a criminal investigation of former President Barack Obama, or his Vice President, Joe Biden.

“Not every abuse of power, no matter how outrageous, is necessarily a federal crime,” Barr said.

“As for President Obama and Vice President Biden, whatever their level of involvement based on what I know, I don’t expect Durham’s work will lead to a criminal investigation of either man,” he added, noting that the investigation’s “concern of potential criminality is focused on others.”

Barr tried to make clear on Monday that the investigation “will not be and cannot be a tit-for-tat exercise.” The Attorney General argued that “the only way to break away from a dual system of justice” that the Democrats have benefited from is to “ensure we scrupulously apply” criminal justice equally to everyone, regardless of political affiliation.

“In the past few decades, there have been increasing attempts to use the criminal justice system as a political weapon,” he said, that used “the flimsiest of legal theories,” which he rightly said is “not good for our political life… [or] good for our criminal justice system.”

Leftists Don’t Stick To Principles!

On the surface, Barr’s actions are admirable. It looks like he is rising above the corruption that the left have been using against conservatives for years, showing himself to be the better man. Unfortunately, this just isn’t how the world works. Do you think that if Biden wins this year, his leftist Attorney General will take the same attitude to President Trump and his allies? I don’t think so!

Barr is simply scared to tackle Biden and Obama, despite the evidence that they were involved in the targeting of General Flynn. Conservatives will never win against the forces of the left if we’re unwilling to investigate alleged crimes, just to look like the bigger man! It doesn’t matter if you “stick to your principles” if you end up behind bars a year later.
