There are some times any sane person wonders whether the words spewed forth by Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, (D-NY) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) are designed to be taken seriously by anybody, including themselves.

A case in point was their Thursday response to events at the Michigan state capitol. It is lawful for Michigan residents to be armed on the grounds of the state capitol. Some citizens availed themselves to that right. Others, also armed, decided to tell authoritarian Governor Gretchen Whitmer, a Democrat, what they thought of her in no uncertain terms.

All was lawful, constitutional, and no one was hurt in the slightest, aside from the jangled nerves of those who were reminded by the armed citizens that in a republic the people are the ultimate rulers.

In response to the events, Tlaib tweeted, “Black people get executed by police for just existing, while white people dressed like militia members carrying assault weapons are allowed to threaten State Legislators and staff.”

As if police roam the streets of America randomly shooting black citizens for fun and prizes while various Caucasians saunter about armed like au courant mercenaries so they can commit sedition before breakfast. Yup, makes perfect sense.

Not to be outdone, Rashida’s fellow coven member AOC let us in on this brilliant offering: “Think about how harshly #BlackLivesMatter & #AbolishICE activists were debased, called rioters, & treated as a threat to society. Now watch & examine how this MAGA-armed rushing of a state legislature is treated. This is for those who still think racial privilege is a fantasy.”

Yes, those two groups are treated so badly they are loudly lauded by members of Congress like AOC and lionized by the press for their racism and violent actions. And “MAGA”? MAGA had nothing to do with it in Michigan. The citizens were protesting against Whitmer, not necessarily for Trump. “Rushing”? If the various pols were “rushed” (and we doubt AOC means they were given an offer to join her junior high school sorority) by heavily armed citizens, why isn’t the state of Michigan now in the hands of said heavily armed citizens?

Because the words of AOC and Tlaib have no connection to objective reality. They either: one, really believe this stuff and thus are loony or, two, have such a low opinion of their fellow hard leftists that they know they can say anything absurd and they will be taken at face value. At any rate, aside from unintentional amusement, both women lose credibility with the sentient every time they open their yaps. Thus, in the eyes of history they will go down as slow-witted agitators and little else.
