Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) let loose on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and her fellow Democrats today for not funding a loan to save small businesses effected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Republicans tried to pass $250 billion in small business funding last week to save the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), which is about to run out of money. Sadly, Democrats blocked their efforts, as the leftists wanted to add on $150 billion for state and local governments, $100 billion for hospitals as well as more money for food assistance programs.

On Thursday, Pelosi said there would be more discussions on funding the PPP, adding that she hopes Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin “comes back with good offer.”

This enraged Cruz, who fired back at Pelosi on Twitter.

Other Republicans blasted Democrats as well, including President Donald Trump himself, who blasted the left for allowing the PPP to be drained in the first place.

“Democrats are blocking additional funding for the popular Paycheck Protection Program,” President Trump tweeted. “They are killing American small businesses. Stop playing politics Dems! Support Refilling PPP NOW – it is out of funds!”

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (D-TX) slammed Pelosi for letting the funds go empty while also bringing up her recent late night television appearance in which she showed off her collection of gourmet ice cream.

“Nancy Pelosi remembered to restock her $24K refrigerators with $13 ice cream but forgot to restock the Paycheck Protection Program for our small businesses. 22 million people are out of work,” he tweeted.

Senate Small Business Committee Chairman Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) called the lack of funding for the PPP “disgusting” on his own Twitter page.

Even Democratic Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) crossed party lines to attack Democrats for their handling of this situation.

“The PPP program is going to run out of funding soon — the Senate should approve add’l funding by unanimous consent ASAP,” Sinema tweeted. “Small businesses need our help to survive during this emergency.”

Pelosi and her fellow Democrats are once again putting their own greed ahead of the wellbeing of the American people. We applaud those who are calling them out for their despicable behavior. Democrats are messing with the livelihoods of American workers right now, and we can’t let them get away with it.
