Democrat governors and other leftist politicians don’t want Americans to be able to protect themselves during the Wuhan coronavirus Pandemic by being able to buy guns. To push their liberal agendas, they started closing down gun stores by calling them “non essential” during the pandemic.
The tyrannical Democrats think that using this phrase exempts them from following the Constitution.
Democrats see no value in citizens being able to defend themselves in case their police departments fall ill with the virus or they need to protect themselves from a possible future breakdown of society.
No, guns have never been essential to Democrats.
But in the real world, the purchase of firearms and ammunition is surging all over the country. In Colorado last week, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation’s background checks on firearms surged 227% compared to the same week a year ago.
The surge in ammunition and gun sales across America does not mean that a bunch of people suddenly decided to become criminals. And closing gun stores won’t stop the real criminals from getting guns. Americans are afraid and they want to be able to protect their families if something happens.
Enter Trump to the rescue!
After getting word of California, Maine, New Jersey and others shutting down gun shops, the Trump administration had Homeland Security issue a revised clarification of what businesses are essential by including,“Workers supporting the operation of firearm or ammunition product manufacturers, retailers, importers, distributors, and shooting ranges.”
Before Homeland Security revised the essential business list, California and New Jersey were being sued by gun organizations for their suppression of American’s second amendment rights.
Firearms Policy Coalition President Brandon Combs had said, “California’s state and local governments cannot simply suspend the Constitution.”
During this time of crisis, the liberals are implementing as much of their tyrannical policies as they can get away with – and Americans are pretty much under their control for most of it. But we’ve had some victories against them and this is an important one.
