Hollywood star Will Smith just showed the world how self-centered and desperate to stay relevant he really is by bizarrely claiming that he feels responsible for confusion over the coronavirus pandemic because of his 2007 movie “I Am Legend.”

Smith was appearing on his family’s Facebook chat show Red Table Talk, where they discussed social distancing and other things that are being done to stop the coronavirus. Things took a truly strange turn when Smith brought up his 13-year-old movie in which he portrayed “a virologist who survives a catastrophic plague that wipes out most of civilization,” according to Breitbart News.

Smith actually had the nerve to say that he feels “responsible for a lot of the misinformation” that is out there about coronavirus because of this movie.

“When I was preparing for I Am Legend, my character was a virologist so I had an opportunity in my preparation for the role to go to the CDC and there was a basic foundational comprehension of viruses and viral pathogens that I developed,” the former “Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air” star said. “It really changed my life and how I looked at the world, and there’s basic concepts that people do not understand.”

“So I wanted us to have the opportunity to go through the basics and bring in the experts,” Smith added.

Thank you sooo much, Will! What we all need is a Hollywood elitist enlightening the rest of us about the dangers of the coronavirus.

Oh, wait…we actually don’t need that at all!

This is the kind of melodramatic, narcissistic behavior that makes Hollywood stars so insufferable to the average American. Smith has lost touch with reality so much so that he actually thinks that Americans are confused about the coronavirus because of a forgotten movie he made thirteen years ago.

Smith isn’t the only Hollywood star who is desperately trying to stay relevant in the coronavirus era. With virtually all Hollywood productions shut down, stars are having to get creative when it comes to finding ways to get attention for themselves in front of the camera. That’s how this cringe-worthy celebrity sing-a-long of the Beatles song “Imagine” came to be.

Do Hollywood actors think too much of themselves?

It is going to be a very looong pandemic if celebrities keep this up. Why can’t they just shush and social distance in silence? Haven’t we all been through enough?
