One day after Joe Biden’s strong showing on Super Tuesday, Whoopi Goldberg called for him to make former President Barack Obama his Vice President.

Breitbart News reported that the women of the ABC talk show “The View” were discussing Biden’s Super Tuesday performance when Goldberg started thinking out loud and opening up about her dreams of Obama being named to the ticket.

“So I had another — I’ve been sitting here — I’ve been crazy all morning,” Goldberg said, to which Meghan McCain replied, “It’s a crazy time.”

“I’m sorry. I’m just going to do my crazy right now,” Goldberg said, making it clear that she had something on her mind.

“I like it,” McCain responded encouragingly. “I like when we go rogue.”

“Everybody was thinking about who could the VP be for Joe. I thought, oh man, what would happen if Joe Biden said my choice for VP is Barack Obama?” Goldberg asked as the audience cheered. “He won’t, but it’s not illegal.”

“It’s not going to happen,” McCain said, shooting this down.

“I don’t think it’s illegal,” ABC legal analyst and co-host Sunny Hostin said, as Goldberg added, “It’s not illegal.”

“But you have to be eligible to run for president when you’re the vice president and he can’t,” Joy Behar said.

Goldberg replied, “That’s not true.”

Despite Biden’s success yesterday and their years working in the same administration, Obama has yet to endorse his former vice president and has stayed completely silent when it comes to backing any candidate in the presidential race. The Washington Examiner reported that Senator Bernie Sanders (I- VT) spoke out today after his own disappointing Super Tuesday to warn Obama against endorsing Biden.

“I have not the slightest doubt that there is enormous pressure on President Obama to jump into this race and support Joe Biden,” Sanders said at a press conference.

Sanders went on to say that he backs Obama’s plans to support whoever wins the Democratic presidential nomination, and that he believes the former president’s promises to not get involved in the primary.

“I agree with him,” Sanders said. “But that’s not easy for him to do. And I very much appreciate his willingness to do that.”

While it is unlikely that Biden will make Obama his vice president, it would not be surprising if he gets an endorsement from the former president at some point in the coming weeks, should he continue this momentum.
