Thomas Markle Calls On Meghan And Harry To Leave L.A. And Return To U.K. To ‘Support The Queen During Coronavirus Pandemic’

Considering the fact that Thomas' media interviews were one of the reasons Meghan cut him off in the first place, talking to the press about this may not have been the best idea.

Thomas Markle is speaking out this weekend to call on his daughter Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry to leave Los Angeles and return to the United Kingdom to support Queen Elizabeth as she contends with the coronavirus pandemic.

Days after it was reported that Meghan and Harry are in Los Angeles looking for homes in the ritzy Malibu area, Thomas called on them to go back to the U.K. to support the royal family, who are all self-isolating after Prince Charles tested positive for coronavirus.

“I think Meghan and Harry should go back to the Royal family in the UK and be supportive of the Queen,” Thomas told The Mirror. “I think they should be in England at this time and not in L.A. They can join the A-list and make lots of money, of course, when the problem with the virus is over.”

Thomas went on to beg Meghan to reach out to him, pointing out that at 75 years of age, he would be in the “high risk” category should he test positive for COVID-19. Meghan cut Thomas off after he missed her wedding and was caught selling photos to the paparazzi, and the two have not spoken since.

“I am in the high risk category, but now a number of young people are also coming down with it,” Thomas said. “If I could say anything to Harry and Meghan right now it is that life is too short. I would certainly tell them to be careful and I would tell them that I love them. This is the time to think about what is really important in life – it’s too short and unpredictable. While we have to isolate physically, there is no reason to isolate personally from each other at this time.”

The Queen, 93, is self-isolating at Windsor Castle after both her son and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson tested positive for the virus weeks after she last saw each of them in person. Buckingham Palace has yet to confirm or deny if the Queen has been tested for the virus herself.
