Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) took her Trump Derangement Syndrome to a melodramatic new level on Monday when she claimed that “civilization as we know it is at stake” in the 2o20 election.

Pelosi reportedly made this comment during a speaking engagement at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, according to Breitbart News.

Pelosi touched on many topics in her speech, including on women in politics.

“Just generally, I usually always cast my vote for a woman. I just do,” Pelosi told the crowd.

When asked by an audience member about the possibility of the first woman president being a Republican, Pelosi said,  “That’s okay.”

This isn’t the first time Pelosi has made this kind of dramatic comment about Trump. Back in December, she described Trump’s possible reelection as being a threat to the world.

“The damage that this administration has done to America — America is a great country, we can sustain — two terms, I don’t know,” Pelosi said.  “Civilization, as we know it today, is at stake in this election.”

This comes after President Donald Trump brutally snubbed Pelosi by announcing that he would not be attending her annual St. Patrick’s Day lunch on Capitol Hill.

“Since the Speaker [of the House Nancy Pelosi] has chosen to tear this Nation apart with her actions and her rhetoric, the President will not participate in moments where she so often chooses to drive discord and disunity, and will instead celebrate the rich history and strong ties between the United States and Ireland at the White House on March 12,” said White House deputy press secretary Judd Deere.

Pelosi is clearly just panicking as it’s becoming increasingly clear that Trump is going to get reelected come November. All of Pelosi’s efforts to take Trump down have backfired on her, and she might want to start preparing herself now for four more years of him being in the White House.
