On Tuesday, Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters wasn’t clear when asked if she believes Joe Biden can beat President Donald Trump in a general election.
‘I don’t know, but we’ll see’
“I don’t know, but we’ll see,” Waters said when asked by Just the News reporter Nicholas Ballasy.
Waters said that while she hasn’t announced her support for Biden or Bernie Sanders, the most important issue is who can beat Trump.
“It’s not about who you like,” Waters said. “It’s about now watching and understanding who can beat Trump.”

When asked about Biden’s many gaffes and mental state, Waters replied, “Nobody has made more gaffes and told more lies than the president of the United States of America.”
“How dare he talk about somebody’s gaffes?” Waters asked, referring to Trump.

President Trump has often mocked Biden‘s gaffes, including earlier this month by saying the Democrat frontrunner doesn’t know “what office he’s running for.”
“Sleepy Joe doesn’t know where he is, or what he’s doing,” Trump tweeted March 3rd. “Honestly, I don’t think he even knows what office he’s running for!”

Trump’s also mocked Biden for laughably asking supporters to vote for him on “Super Thursday.”

“Tomorrow, voters in states across the nation for Super Tuesday — not Super Thursday. Oh, he said Super Thursday! You can’t do these things. Can you imagine if I said Super Thursday? I would be over, right? I would be over,” Trump said.
These rhetorical stumbles are constant for Biden. In South Carolina, the former vice president said he was running for the “United States Senate.” During his Super Tuesday speech, he even mixed up his wife, Jill Biden, with his sister, Valerie.
‘Democratic insiders know Biden has cognitive decline issues…They don’t care’
All of these many gaffes have even prompted progressives voices to comment on their concerns about Biden’s mental health.
Author Matt Stoller tweeted on Thursday, “Democratic insiders know Biden has cognitive decline issues. They joke about it. They don’t care.”
